    • I didn't like the look of them initially but they look much better in person. They're extremely quite, probably the quietest all-terrain I've used.
    • Wet weather was surprising. We finally got some rain down here in SoCal (it dumped on us for weeks) and even under heavy acceleration, they didn't break traction. I didn't floor it but I did put some weight on the pedal.
    • Mud is great, dirt is great. Haven't had a chance to use them in the sand.
    • Despite being a 295/70 swap, and Toyo listing the two as having the same OD, they do rub in reverse on the cab mounts. My AT2's did not.
I really like them but had I known about the size difference, I may have tried a different set of tires.

Is anyone here running 20" +12 with the Falken Wildpeak 265/60/20 or similar - ive read on here tires have a big part of how much poke you end up with. im looking at some Black Rhinos for my 22. I want a little poke to widen the stance & balance out the huge hood but not a ton so it's chewing up the paint.

Sorry if this is a stupid question- I'm new to the rim game & there are so many variables - I'm trying not to make an expensive mistake if possible.

Thanks so much for any help - what a Great Forum the knowledge on here is Amazing!

18” Method 701’s with BFG K02’s, size 305/70/R18 on 2.5” lift. I chose the 701’s for moderate offset. And I chose the tire size because I wanted to get as close as I could to 35 inch while keeping as narrow as possible.

Hi Chris, Curious what size tire did you have before jumping up? And feel much power loss? I’m still deciding what tire size I will add to my wheels in the spring. I know there is not much to choose from this tire size as brand size. Thanks.

I was at stock tire size for the SR5. It’s a good question…I do notice. I know people have different opinions and tolerances for what’s acceptable to them on this, but for me, the difference is insignificant. It’s still plenty capable—from freeway acceleration to off-road. If I had the money, I’d probably re-gear it because that would be fun…but I’m happy without it too. I would however not go any larger.

I see you have the MRDS N-Fab bumper as well. Do you get any rub on the grille from the bumper? I've tried to adjust mine to avoid this but no luck yet. I was thinking of maybe pulling off the bumper and putting washers on the bolts before reinstalling...only need about 5-7mm more of clearance. Bad idea?

Nice looking truck. What’s the difference between 701s and 316s?

Thanks. The Kings were extremely frustrating but I'm happy overall. It bombs over tracks and dirt like it's floating on smooth asphalt

These look amazing. Where did you get the TRD center caps to go with the wheels? I'm about to order wheels from that website now.

    None at the moment
Hello everyone. I recently got my 19 Tundra Platinum. Just installed eibach stage 1 lift at top setting. I’m looking to run methods 305’s 18x9 +25mm offset. I’m wanting to run 35x12.5 Nitto Ridge grabblers. What modifications will I have to do other than inner fender trimming and bmc? Will I have any issues with skid plate, uca or sway bar?

I’m running tire size 305/70/r18, which is at 12 inch section width vs. your 12.5inch, but similar diameter (mine are 34.8inch), and my wheel offset is same at +25. Based on the clearance I have, which is pretty good, my guess is you could get away with no bmc and won’t interfere with skid plate but maybe someone else here has the same set-up or knows better. Sounds fun, good luck.

    Here’s my 2007 Tundra.

    Here’s when I first bought it - 100% stock:

    Here it is now:

    1A60DB44-0394-41DD-A017-0AB86843714F.jpg
Wheels: FN BFD 18x9 +18 offset
Tires: Nitto Recon Grappler 295/70R18 116S (SL)
Suspension: Tundra TRD Pro coilovers (Fox) front and rear

The light wheels with SL tires have made the differences between stock almost unnoticeable. Acceleration is very similar to stock, however you can “feel” the taller sidewall when taking off. Haven’t even noticed a hit to MPG at all.

The new wheels and tires look great on your truck. When you say “feel the taller sidewall” what do you mean? Are the SL’s too soft or do they feel like they sway under the weight?

I have a favor to ask too, could you take a picture of what the other sidewall of the tire looks like? It appears the tread is slightly different with the SL’s, so I am curious about the other pattern too.

I just mean the jump from 275/65R18 to the 295/70R18, was something I could feel at first when just starting to roll from a stop.

I’d say it feels very similar to the stock “softness.” However, it seems to absorb bigger potholes and bumps better with the extra rubber.

Curious if you happened to weigh the BFDs before mounting (Almost got two sets of these), to see how close to the listed weight they are. Also if you weighed the combined mounted weight too. I was weight conscious too and got 35” combination to 82lbs which I thought was pretty good, given stock steel 32” is 76lbs combined.
