PLANO, Texas (Sept. 29, 2023)– In the heart of its home state, Toyota revealed a premium special edition Tundra at the State Fair of Texas.

Tundra 1794 Special Edition Premium Capability

The third generation Tundra launched just a few short years ago and new for the 2024 model year is a new take on an iconic grade. The 1794 grade, which is named after the ranch that the San Antonio plant that assembles Tundra was built upon, gets even better with the 1794 Limited Edition, which focuses on an elevated premium leather interior experience and the addition of enhanced off-road capability.

Tundra owners pride themselves in their rugged and durable trucks. This new special edition also adds a dose of exclusivity as well, with a limited run of only 1,500 units. Based on the 1794 Tundra grade, the 1794 Limited Edition comes with a Crew Max cab, 5.5-foot bed, four-wheel drive, and the I-FORCE Max powertrain, all standard.

The unique premium leather and its design were developed through a collaboration with the Saddleback Leather Company. These two Texas based powerhouse companies pulled off an incredible feat by sourcing leather that met their rigorous standards for quality, durability, and style that customers will be able to see and feel.

An exciting part of this 1794 Limited Edition is the addition of several Saddleback Leather Company accessories that match the truck. These include a large overnight bag, tool roll, owners’ portfolio, key glove, and a small pouch.

The engineers did not just focus on a beautiful interior though. They also added upgraded FOX suspension and an off-road inspired wheel and tire combination. The 2.5-in.-diameter FOX® Internal Bypass shocks with piggyback reservoirs and a 1.1-inch lift improves the stance of the truck and adds to the trucks off-road capability.

There are unique exterior design changes as well that pull the whole package together. A dark chrome grille and body side moldings, blacked-out accents, unique stamped tailgate, and, inside, an embossed label that marks the truck as one of 1,500.

The Tundra 1794 Limited Edition will be available in dealerships spring of 2024. It is available in colors Wind Chill Pearl, Midnight Black Metallic, Blueprint and Smoked Mesquite.

They actually aren't bronze....they have a black rim with bronze TOYOTA lettering, so slightly different...at least from what I can see on the full resolution images...

 

MY24 Tacoma also have multiple fins...

Yup...I have list building from the MY24 Tacoma as well...I have an idea where to mount more switches that will look factory...

 

Of course they come out with a chrome less 1794 the year after i buy one.

 

Looks like an SR5 TRD Off-road with upgraded headlights.

 

The only changes a 1794 has is the chrome exterior and leather interior. So now that the exterior is color matched it is the same as an sr5 just with leather and a few upgrades on features.

 

Platinum & 1794 has more than what you mention here...

Limited is a SR5 with the ability to upgrade headlights and not get some of the creature comforts and other things on the Platinum and 1794...

 

I dig it. Too bad they keep that chrome mustache shit though.

If that’s the true color of the leather it’s not that bad but it’s not photographing great. And is it me or do the seats look like they’re pulled from the gen 2 1794?

 

Correct. He mentioned the headlights so I was just listing the only other exterior difference and for inside I said a few upgrades on features. Heated steering wheel, rear heated and vented seats, power package with inverter, and probably most importantly a lid on the center console cubby.

 

Definitely closer to that color then the darker stuff they used in mine. I prefer the new color over the seats in my 17'

why does the MAX hood badge look like the sequoia badge? Just for pre production?

 

I'm glad I only have the center one...

 

Unsure of that...kinda glad it's smaller...but it could be that they took a 1794 and swapped parts last minute...but this has been in the works for a while...July 2023 is when I first saw it...

 

I thought of you the second I watched that video and the chrome was gone, haha.

 

I like the darker leather in my 2023 1794 too. I always thought the leather in my 2015 1794 was way too orange.

So its a TRD Pro suspension with a more special 1794 interior. Looks awesome. Looks pricey.

 

Do it, I'd love to see one of these high centered with 40" tires in the swamp after towing 15,000lb livestock trailer. You are the extreme end of use case engineering in every aspect!
