Any thoughts on what the market may pay? I would think it should be above $15k. Has anyone bought anything recently with similar mileage? If so it would be great to know what they paid.

Don't bother asking here. They'll just tell you its worth what someone will pay. Not a helpful bunch when it comes to trying to value these trucks. I paid $16,800 for mine three years ago.it had 54k miles. Not sure that helps.

That's actually the honest answer because it's worth no more than someone is willing to pay for it.

Thank you Slicetruck, it does help me. I get the idea that's it worth what someone will pay, especially true when there aren't a lot of recent sales. Just wanted to get a ball park if anyone has bought or sold recently. Take care guys, thanks again for your input.

    First shopper! ;)

I know right, why is it so dang hard to differentiate between stock 2 and 4WDs just by eye? The only thing that I can think of is if you can see the badge on the tailgate, if it's been removed, then your guess is as good as mine.:notsure:

    Yeah.No.

I just bought one and am hardly a shopper for this one.

I am just trying to understand what it is so I can help him give it a value which seems to be the real reason he is here.
Which drive system is a pretty huge feature to know before you could guess what it could be worth don't you think?

Yep, 100%. The difference could easily be a couple Gs for a buyer in the right region. Gotta find the right buyer.

When it comes to the RCSB, the 2WD 5.7L was produced in much lower numbers than the 4WD 5.7L making the 2WD truck the rarest. All that being said, the market tends to want the 4WD version so the value ends up being whatever the market will bear.

Sorry for the late reply. It is a 2 wheel drive.

I live in Los Angeles and figured the 4 wheel drive wouldn't be something people who are interested in this truck would want. I always thought of this truck as a street truck, in this region anyway.

There are people that search nationwide for vehicles, it just depends upon what fits a particular person's needs/wants.

I set mine up for overlanding/offroad/explorer vessel. When I was searching, i found more 2WD RCSB than 4WD ones. Took awhile to find mine

To be able to see/park them side-by-side in an effort to check visual clues would be neat. Here's the best matching photo of mine that I was able to find.

...but what color is the rarest? lol Just messing around. We could probably get pretty granular in describing what makes one configuration more uncommon. Looking forward to some pics for sure though. FWIW, I've only seen one picture of a RCSB that was in a great looking metallic green (probably Spruce Mica), it looks so nice when it's clean. I haven't noticed it in more than just a few of any configuration when I think about it...:monocle:

Produced in lower numbers and for a shorter period of time, your truck should bring top dollar if you can find the right buyer. If I were in the market, I would look to buy from the private owner at a price that is closest to NADA Clean Trade-in value.

If there is detailed production numbers for the RCSB trucks with different configurations, maybe someone could post the source in this thread. I’ve never seen this type of data released by Toyota.

Total production of 1st & 2nd generation Regular Cab Tundra (including all V8, V6, 2WD, 4WD long and short bed) makes up roughly 1% or less of total yearly production totals.

And of course one mans trash is another's treasure clearly.

I got my RCLB cheap probably because no one else wanted it but I feel it is a rare and beautiful gem.......twice, so go figure?
