I've been looking across the whole country, but anything east coast is rusty. How'd you like the Ranger?

Well, It was fast, but the Ten speed trans and compact inside was wearing on me. Wish I still had my 15’ Tundra that I traded in on it.

I found this one in SE PA. Had the salesman send me 32 pictures of the frame and underside before I made the trip. Couple spots of surface rust on the leaf springs other then that it is really clean. Looks like soneone used something like coroseal on the frame and it looks awesome. As soon as I got it home had it Krowned. The only shitty thing is the bed. Got it home a tore out the drop in bedliner and it had three holes in it. Lucky for me I have a buddy that works at the auto recycler and I have a bed in my garage waiting to go on. And the dealer cut me a check for 3200 bucks once I sent pictures to the Sales Manager.

Not a bad deal all things considered!

Thanks, that's been on there for awhile, and I think the only reason it hasn't sold is because it has the 4.7. Sweet truck though!

I have a friend who has a 2016 RCLB that has 4x4. Cannot verify that they made a rcsb with 4X in 16 though.

I paid $15.6 for it. 111k miles, traded in an old lexus is i had so out the door adter they sent me the 3200 was $2500.

I have the 4.7 in mine. I like it better than the 5.7. The 4.7 has the 5 speeds trans which I feel is a superior trans. The 6 speed isnt bad but I enjoy this combo more. And the truck only weighs something like 5200 lbs. it’s fast.

You're likely right. But the 4.7 is a damn fine motor. Have you ever driven one? It's no 5.7 but still has plenty of power to get it done unless your trying to haul super heavy loads.

Yeah, I think only 2wd RCSB after 13' Only long bed after 2013, but can get get 2wd or 4x4

    Killer deal!

I originally was dead set on a 1st gen, but lately have been looking at 07+ with the 5.7 just to have a more capable truck for any towing. Plus you get a newer truck for not that much more money when you consider the price of a clean 1st gen these days. Planning to get rid of my Class C motorhome and get a small travel trailer when I find the right truck. I'm not opposed to the 4.7, I just figured if I go with the 2nd gen truck, I might as well get the bigger motor. 4.7 could be alright with the rcsb, though.

I gotta stop watching and commenting on this thread. If I don't, I fear having a rcsb in my near future. I now have a saved search nation wide on auto trader set up . Not that that's a bad thing, but don't think the misses would like me adding a second tundra to my arsenal. Because I'm not riding myself of my dbl cab...

Thinking about this more and more, the 5sp tranny would likely be better for towing a small TT, even if the motor has a tad less HP. You should go find any 4.7 and test drive it. They are no dogs.

I haven't driven one. Haven't driven a 5.7L, or any Tundra tbh. I've had a couple 1st gen Tacomas though. Pretty much every car I've ever bought I hadn't driven one until I found the one I was looking for haha. I'll definitely look into how the 4.7 does on the bigger truck..could make my search a little easier. I have FB Marketplace up every day refreshing, CL alerts set, and every major used car website with search alerts. I'll find one eventually. My wife isn't a huge fan of the regular cab, but it's surprising how much space is behind the seats on these things.

My 2015 was a crewmax. I LOVE my rcsb. So light and nimble. And it is only me riding in it. Both my kids r old and have their own vehicles. My wife does stuggle to get in and close the humungous door tho.

I think I’d consider it if I was in the market and they could provide some photos and/or show me that hood could shut properly. A few hundred would get it shipped to your local carmax, so you could bail if you didn’t like something and not be out much. It’s a CA car so no rust. One accident … hmm.

I'm thinking that might be why the hood is the way it is. Autocheck report doesn't show where the damage was. I've been watching the ad and it's been reserved a few times now like someone has gone to look at it, and then backed out. Looks like I can actually get it shipped to the nearest CarFax store to test drive, for free. Closest one is about 1.5hrs away, so not bad.

Not me. My wife is not on board with the regular cab, even though I told her there's plenty of room for her bag with the massive amount of room behind the front seats. Also, the accident in the history and how the hood sits kind of scares me. I've been watching it the past few days, and it's been reserved multiple times.

Yeah, not worth it at that price for me. White isn't on the top of my list anyway. As of this morning it's back to being available if anyone local wants to check it out.
