HAHAHA @KevinK showed me a video of you on Broke Arrow going up that steep rock hill when i meet him at the SoCal Outlaw camp. I didn't even think of trying to go up it. You made it look too easy. You got some huevos Sunny.

I’ll be going up the 60 to the 15N. Hopefully I find you guys. Excuse my ignorance but what’s the range on the freq? Do they go a long way or have to be close proximity?

 

Pretty crappy in my experience. About as far as I can throw. Some in our group have much more capable setups that can utilize repeaters and such to strengthen the reach.

Tony, remind me to get you some detailed pictures of my sliders if you haven't bolted yours on yet.

I’m on the other side of town Arlington/Tyler area but yea we can maybe meet up somewhere. I believe @TheFreshMouse is from riverside as well. Not sure what route he’s taking.

 

So I was dead set on going and bought a Baofeng just for this run. But now I don't have a babysitter. So from 90% I am now at 10%.

 

Can you bring the little one along? I believe a few others are as well

on our trip to Anza Borrego led by Spvrtan and @Porschetech29 the tail of the congo line had hard time hearing the front in some areas... we may have the same issue in cleghorn with the number of people that are going but middle of the line just repeats important info to the back... @Sunnier is good at keeping everyone communicating

 

Sunny mentioned we may go in groups of 5-6, depending on total trucks and head out spaced ten minutes apart or so...

 

I like that idea. Gonna be pretty dusty otherwise. I mean it already will be, but this will keep it under control a bit, and keep it safer for oncoming traffic, and pile ups in slow corners.

I hope so. I ride that area on my dirtbike frequently. It rains, and by the time I finagle a day off work the same week to get out there it's dry!

Yeah, if we get crazy numbers we can break into groups with individual leaders and each group share a different frequency than other groups. We can link the trail leaders by cell phone.

Taking the 91 to the 15. Anyone want to meet up on the way. I might be able to meet up with the folks coming from the Riverside area.
Or just head straight there.
