    Well my 8 year old son decided he was ready to start shooting the shotgun today so we shot some trap. He really surprised me he shot 30 time's and probably hit 12 birds not bad for his first time.

    In a way I envy you.

    I grew up in CT, and fall was always our favorite time of the year. Mom loved and made it special.

    From the leaves changing, the fresh apples, and folks there is a big difference in what you buy at a store vs fresh at harvest from the northern part of the country.
    Picking out the pumpkins in late october at the pumpkin farm, cant recall the name of the place, we always called it the pumpkin farm.
    The feel of late november and thanksgiving and rolling into christmas.

    You are right the houses and historic sites from the founding of this country ad earlier are awesome.

    I remember following rock walls for miles at times knowing that they were boundry fences hand stacks hundreds of years ago.

    The 70s was a great time to be a kid.
