so, day job just handed out a global 7.5% pay cut and suspension of 401k matching. that's almost a 20% cut for me since january. i get that they are hoping to save jobs but i don't think it's going to be enough. a bigger hammer is going to fall.

That’s a lot Sean. I hope the hammer is not the case with you.

People around here are taking it more serious now. Yesterday I went into town to go grocery shopping (after two weeks). 85% of people, including myself had a mask on of some sort.

This screen shot makes it more real.

In El Paso County, a few days ago the death toll was 13. Overnight it jumped to 28. The Colorado State numbers jumped from 150 to 179.

El Paso county is pretty big with 720K people, but it can spread fast.

My wife decided it's too stressful to go grocery shopping what with the limits on people in the store, traffic control they've tried to implement and everyone glaring at you for not wearing a mask and gloves so I get to do it from now on.

so, the printer/scanner died. print head failure. tried to take it apart for reset, no dice. found part online. $120 + shipping and it would come from either asia or europe. went to b&h. epson printer/scanner with better specs than what just died, $79.95 + free 2 day shipping. wtf? how have we gotten to the point where everything is disposable?
