    TGIF everyone!

    Yesterday was interesting. Our new front door was not installed. The installer could have made it work, but at what cost? The installer said to do it right the frame has to be smaller. Door going back to manufacturer for adjustments. The team repaired my current door to help seal out the elements and replaced some of the seals. That was very nice of them since Monday is forecasting -12*F.

    The Lexus did sell, but in a strange twist of events it was sold to the owner of the door install company. His 22 year old daughter had just been in a minor accident and the car was totaled. They sent her a small amount of money to replace the car. The father found out we were selling the car and asked how much? I gave him my price and they went for a test drive and purchased the car right there. He just laughed and said "God works in mysterious ways. We came to install a door and purchased a car for my daughter in need." I felt pretty good about it.

    Wife had a very rough day at work yesterday. I had the kids fend for themselves for dinner, fired up the date car and took my wife out. I took her to an Italian restaurant and talked about the future and her struggles at work. She is a very ethical/moral person and the job she has now just doesn't fit. Maybe it's a sign to leave early to the retirement location.

    Sucks about the door, but it sounds like they did you a solid. Being there for your wife is what it's all about. My wife hates her job but she admits the pay is probably the best she's gonna get right now and she's also realized the good outweighs the bad. I just listen to her rants and nod. We handle things differently - I'd have either been fired or quit if I worked where she does lol

    Similar thing happened with my wife's old car when we took it to get thoroughly cleaned at a local car wash. I was telling the guy what we wanted to do and then mentioned it was going up for sale. He asked the price so I gave him the no haggle rate and he took it right there and then. Easiest sale I've ever made. Funny how things work out.
