    Good morning everyone. Been a long 24 hours. Yesterday at 6 am before our "good mornings" I received a call from my cousin that my grandmother has passed. She was 99 years old and almost made it to 100. She pulled a Bob Barker! (one of her favorite shows)

    Evelyn was a strong scandinavian woman. Born in 1925 in ND, married to Alvin 1943 and started a life on the farm. They had 10 children together when Alvin passed away in 1969 due to a railroad accident. Half of the kids were still home at the time. My grandmother was also a registered nurse and provided for her children until they left the home and leased out her land to neighboring farms to grow crops. She retired from nursing around 60 years old. My family has always been in oil production whether it be roughnecks or well owners. She has lived in the same home her and Alvin built in 1946 which was partially the old post office in the county. Until early this year, she still was out at her house functioning like age didn't matter.

    I will miss her, but not sad. She lived a full life and left a legacy like nobody else I know. As of yesterday, she had 144 grand/great/greatgreat grandchildren and she could tell you everyones name. I could not do that by half.
