    I don't know a lot about them specifically - I feel like that's one of the first years they made them their own "model." They were a reimagining of the Impreza "Outback Sport" (Impreza wagon with a bit more ground clearance) with an updated interior and body styling. I can't remember if that year's engine was timing belt or timing chain - if it's a timing belt motor you will want records of when it was changed if it is 90-100K miles or more. Also get underneath and look for oil seeping from the heads (can be hard to spot with the underbody skids/panels in place) - again, around 90-100K if you're going to have issues you'll start to see them.
