    First trip was 15 miles then home. Second time was down into Portland - ~30 miles. Now have the dog at the vet ~20 miles

    Some sort of cyst or abscess on her paw about the size of a grape. Doesn’t really seem to be bothering her, but about once every other day we notice she’s bleeding from her foot (making a mess on the floor).

    They took a sample from it to send to the lab, and Rx some antibiotics while they wait for lab results to determine if it needs to be removed (most likely) and how deep to remove.

    Most Veterinary businesses are open around here on Saturday but I'm thinking that's not normal in smaller communities.

    Ours is open on Saturday, but getting in without an appointment is nearly impossible. And the 24/7 place nearby is worse than going to the ER as a human. Last time my wife had to take our daughter's cat in there, she spent 14 hours down there.
