    Good Morning to the rest of y'all! The wife wanted to go to an estate sale early this morning. Jackpot! Bought a vintage Woodard cast iron table with 5 chairs for $150! Online we're seeing them for $2500-$3000 for similar ones to what we got.
    Of course we knew nothing about it until we researched it after leaving the place. We just knew it was solidly built and well taken care of.

    It's an outdoor set but was used as a breakfast table inside. Only minor dings to the paint (a light green color) and no sign of rust anywhere. We're going to repaint it anyway so we weren't concerned about the dings. It's a 5' circular table with a glass top. Once we paint it, we're going to get a marble top for it. Now if we could only make any headway on getting the house built! Nationally, the market may be cooling off, but it is still crazy around here.

    I don’t envy you trying to build a house right now. Lumber is still ridiculously priced. I was talking with @Sumo91 the other day and he said this is 1150.00 worth in lumber…

    When we were framing the patio, my lumber cost was 11,000.00.

    To build this, I put all the lumber (minus the beams) in the bed of my truck to move them (2 trips). I don't see 11000.00 of lumber right here at all. If you really think about it, (besides the vert/horizontal beams) there was like 21 sheets of plywood/2x6 & 2x4 to get this done. There was also 14 trusses.

    Material prices are only part of the story. The only contractors available right now are the ones you DON'T want to use. I'm just glad we are in a situation where we are not forced to move forward right now.
