Good Morning Bryan, Bill, Chris, Jim, Casey, Matt(s), Rafael, Tom, Stew, Mike, Tim, Rich, Rush, Gino, Mo, Noble, Denise, Travis, Ricardo, Andy, Adam, Kyle, Alfie, Ricardo, and anyone else whose name escaped my memory!

For the past week and a half, we have been running all over Europe. First, we went to Brno, Czech Republic (SE of Prague) to see my son, who is doing a summer internship over there. I HIGHLY recommend the Czech Republic for anyone with the opportunity to visit Europe. English is very widely spoken and the people are very friendly. And the food is CHEAP!

Then we went to Madrid, Spain, which I also recommend. My daughter had just completed her Learning Abroad class at a university there and we toured the city with her for a few days. I learned a lot about Spanish and European history that was very interesting.

Then we flew to Paris, because my daughter wanted to see Paris. Let me put it this way: there are absolutely amazing things to see in Paris, but the constant presence of the arrogant French people and the ungodly high prices for everything absolutely ruined the experience for all of us. Been to Paris and don't even WANT the t-shirt!

We made it home late last night and loved on our fur babies for awhile before going to bed, and now trying to make it through a work day.

Now I have a TON of Tundras.com posts to catch up on as well as the work stuff. It's great to be back home in the good ole USA!

I had a tour guide one time tell us about "movie Paris" (e.g. the Eiffel Tower in lights) vs. "real Paris" (e.g. miles of tents and shantytowns).

    Sounds amazing.
Our oldest leaves in just over a week to go to Madrid to with our exchange student from a few years ago, and then to northern Italy to stay with another one that had been here that same year with another family. We’re jealous to say the least.

Yes. Between that and an intestinal issue that I didn’t know I was having until the kidney stone started, it’s been a long and miserable week/weekend. Finally turned a corner yesterday and other than being wiped out tired, I’m feeling much better.

Yes it was! Even with the previously mentioned less than stellar experiences, the trip was amazing.

And I just found out that our last piece of luggage is back on American soil, hopefully to be delivered this evening.
