    He might have trouble getting up on one ski and he might not be able to ski for very long but it's like riding a bike. My dad didn't ski for a long time due to knee injuries and my mom's fear of driving the boat but, other than having to start to two to avoid hurting his knees, he was able to slalom with almost no trouble.

    I'll be interested to know if your wife's uncle can still barefoot, though and, if so, how he gets up. I've heard a few different methods but my dad's cousin Dennis's is my favourite: he lays on his back with his feet hooked over the rope, gets the driver to wave when the boat hits 45 mph and stands up.

    Yes her uncle and all of his siblings were sitting around a couple weeks ago at the docks talking about what they think they can still do. This particular uncle bet his brothers he could get up on his first try. So there's $100 wager on it. Lol
    Then he also stated for 500 bucks he could get up long lining barefooting which is exactly the same way your Dad's cousin did it.
    Either way it's going to be some great entertainment.
