    I drove out to see our newly cleared (just underbrush to start with) land. It looks even better now that we can see - only three pine trees in about five acres cleared, the rest are hardwoods including white oak, live oak, water oak, chestnut, poplar, and others. The first pic is looking out onto the field our driveway will cross to get from the road to the house. The next is just from turning around 180 deg. The last is the obligatory Tundra pic!

    Not yet. The first thing we're going to build is a pool house. It will be separate from the final house but we can live in it while building the rest. That will allow us to sell our current house, taking advantage of this smoking hot market. I am also selling a rental I only paid $39k for in 2017. I accepted an offer for $84.5k. Our initial mortgage will be a lot less than we were planning on! I plan to have it paid off in under 10 years, just in time for retirement!

    About an hour ago I got a NOAA alert. I could see why. Was watching this big ass T storm headed my way. I love our big backyard tree. Temp dropped from 97 to 75 in ten minutes.
