    I'm in Tuscaloosa today where my son (21) had to have an urgent colonoscopy (one step down from an emergency one I guess). The GI docs were thinking he might have ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease - either one meaning a lifetime of dealing with crap (pun intended). We were VERY pleased that results showed that he just had an acute attack for some reason. No chronic issues found. Hallelujah! He is WAY too young to begin having to deal with stuff like this!

    Good outcome. I'd pursue what caused the acute attack to see if there is a change he can make to avoid it again in the future.

    Yes, we're doing that. My wife has been a Nurse Practitioner for 24 years, and in the medical field almost 30 years, and has never heard of the issues he had. He has a follow up with the GI doc. Hopefully we'll get a clue.
