Official Army Green Thread

My first Tundra just arrived today at the dealer. The Army Green looks incredible!

Waiting for TRD lift to arrive tomorrow. Also, installing RRW wheels and Toyo tires.

Then the de-chrome journey begins!

 

Completed TRD Pro digi camo part additions, I think they look spectacular with our army green color. The parts are the 4 wheel well trims, rear chrome delete, and front fog light surround trim. I like how this digicam covers all 4 sides of the truck.

I will be working on wiring the TRD wheel wells with the new Trailhunter wiring option, will look even better when those lights are active.

Just yesterday 3 people told me how much they love the AG color, congrats to us on having the best color of the 3rd Gen Tundra.

 

Here’s my bone stock 23 at home.
Haven’t decided if I’ll keep the chrome or not.

 

Phase I complete:

- 3" Toyota TRD Lift Kit
- Relations Race Wheels RR7-H 17x8.5 Hybrid Beadlock (zero offset)
- Toyo Open Country AT3 at 35x12.50r17
- 3 child seats installed

Got the "old" stock 20-inch TRD tires and Bilstein suspension in the bed.

The color is incredible! Thank you for all the inspiration on this thread.

Finally got to take my truck off roading. The tundra is incredibly capable.

 

With the Icon sway bar drop kit, are you able to run the OEM TRD skid plate?

 

It’s crazy how many compliments I get on the color of this truck.. two elderly women just came up to me in the parking lot of Costco to say they love this paint color haha

 

Yes Sir. No issues with OEM TRD Skid plate and the sway bar drop kit.

 

Here is a pic of my new '23 sitting on the broken lot at the dealership. They installed the 3" TRD Lift Kit and during the alignment broke a tie-rod end that will take 7-10 days to be shipped in.

The AG just looks awesome in the sun and shade. I’m 7 months into the truck and get at least one or two compliments from randoms every week on the color

Just picked an AG Limted. Color is awesome, although I do miss my old QS.

 

Was supposed to go with Army Green. Looks so good. Switched to Lunar Rock. But either way. Both look so good!

 

This is the one I want!! Army green in the crewmax 6.5. Well done, Sir!

Do you think Army Green will come back in later years? I sure hope so!

 

‘23 is last year for AG until TBD. I think it will hold its look for generations to come

 

That’s why I ask because Toyota discontinued AG in 2024. I think colors sometimes come back again later which I hope is the case for AG (my fav color).

 

I'm always getting compliments on the AG color from random people in parking lots. My 11 year-old daughter said, "your truck looks good muddy!"

 

New the Army green scene. Love the truck here’s mine. look forward to build.

 

Removed the TRD4X4 decals and dealership decal off the bed(No after pic yet). The white lettering wasn't a great look imo.

Getting over the fact that I live on a gravel road and my truck will NEVER be clean again

 

Just did a Toyota TRD 3/2 lift kit with 17X8.5 Methods and 37X12.50 Toyo RT Trails

 

Awesome truck! How much trimming did you need to do for the 37's and the 3" TRD lift?

 

Six months in, not sure if the truck really needs it but i am planning to wax soon. Any recommendations? Been using Meguiar's Gold Class Premium Paste Wax for the other vehicles and it seems to work well and last a long time but maybe there are better products and methods to consider, i don't know. Since this will be the first wax on the six month old vehicle, thinking I will go light and easy, not use a powered wax buffer.

 

If you don't mind posting an update on how is the paint holding so far?
Do you recommend doing any step/process differently?

Not seeing Army green being an option for 2024 Tundras. An elite club we are .

Recently installed the RC 1.75 level kit(pics to come). Question is...What size tire are guys rolling? I'm tossed up between 275/60r20 or 285/60r20

 

The Army Green paintedOEM part is identical to the paint color and durability of the rest of my truck. Perfect fit and finish, zero issues. Highly recommended! I posted a thread about my install process, pretty straightforward. Good luck and congrats on having the best Tundra color!!! now that they’ve discontinued our AG it’s even more elite and BA

 

Just finished installing the CBI bumper

 

I run 295/60/20 on stock suspension.

 

I decided to go 275/60r20. Not much if an upsize I know. I like the look, and it keeps her lighter on her feet. I can go up a size again next go around. KO3 this fall if they're available.
