**The above Poll assumes that you've had all relevant TSBs performed regarding the Instrument Cluster, whether Analog or Digital**

There was interesting TSB that came out yesterday for a different Toyota model related to the following condition:

Fuel Gauge Does Not Read Full After Refueling

They are requesting that the entire fuel tank is replaced along with any necessary parts.

Per the TSB, there are no DTCs associated with this condition.

I've been told that there is another update coming for the gauge cluster that will hopefully 100% resolve the issue in the MY22+ Tundra, Tundra HV/MY23+ Sequoia HV...

    Request
If you've had any issues related to abnormal fuel gauge operation on your 2022+ Tundra/Tundra HV, please post with the following:

    Model Year
    Trim Level
    Analog or Digital Gauge Cluster
How long you've experienced said issue?
Has Toyota done anything to try and resolve said issue?

How long you've experienced said issue? Happened twice in fall of 2023. Both times nose up at the boat ramp after shutting off the engine on the ramp. Both times the tank was between 2/3 and 3/4 full and the fuel gauge indicated Full after leaving the boat ramp. The gauge stayed on Full until I did one of the reset procedures posted on this site.
Has Toyota done anything to try and resolve said issue? No.

This happened to me quite often, but I recall there was a tsb for some fuel gauge reflash? I think I got my recall updates all done except the fuel line on last oil change. 22 analog

How long you've experienced said issue? 1.5 years, however, it’s only happened a handful of times, always when it was parked on an incline. Always corrected itself at the next start.
Has Toyota done anything to try and resolve said issue? I have never reported it.

How long you've experienced said issue? It only happened on the very first gas tank. The gauge randomly went to full and stayed there for a few days before I preformed the reset. I think it may have been parking at the local bank as there was a weird incline on their parking lot. Their lot is on a incline but you pull in at angle. I was only there to do a refinance on the truck.
Has Toyota done anything to try and resolve said issue?
My model is in a weird spot that it was just after the Digital Gauge recall and doesn't have all 3 combination meter updates (CAL-3 Remains a single revision behind CAL1 and CAL2 match the latest TSB)
Dealer tech opened a TAS case and was advised not to update the Combination Meter and that the issue was under investigation (Aug 2023)

How long you've experienced said issue? First occurrence was at 3,000 miles. It's happened at least 4 times in total. The gauge continues to read in error until I fill up with fuel. I'm currently at 17k miles.
Has Toyota done anything to try and resolve said issue? No. I mentioned it at 3,500 miles when I did my first oil change. The technician said they had heard of the problem, but they are waiting for Toyota to release an update or remedy. That was about a year ago.

Just tested and nose up, mine was showing 406 miles till empty(never seen it that high). Parked at work nose down and only driving 24 miles round trip its back to 370 mte.
Seems to me the float is facing rearward in the tank?
*at home nose is just barely up vs work nose down is more.
I never paid attention to this till I read this yesterday and not worried about until toyota is. Thanks for the hard work again @ryanwgregg
I also just change the option on fuel economy to per trip vs per tank. Not sure it that changes anything?
    2023 Plat 8,000+ miles

2022 tundra limited with analog my gauge started acting up after a couple months of ownership. I’ve tried resetting it when I knew it was reading accurate and it goes to full. I’ve taken it into my dealer and he told me Toyota doesn’t know how to fix it. What sucks is if I wanted to sell the truck how do I tell a interested buyer the gas gauge isn’t accurate and Toyota doesn’t know how to fix it.

TSB installed last week. Still does it when parked nose up. Gauge reads full when there is really only half tank.

Has Toyota done anything to try and resolve said issue? No as today was the first time.

First time I’ve noticed it happen. Always park on incline at home. Had about 45 miles on this tank and the bar wasn’t quite full. I think DTE was around 390 miles. Got into my truck and noticed the bar looked all the way full. DTE showing 436 miles…..

The shut off while in drive didn’t help. Tried it twice. Did the ODO Trip trick and that reset it to 404 miles DTE. So not quite back to where it was but I am assuming it has been corrected? Pretty annoying. Tank average is showing 0 now. Was around 12.5mpg before. 840 miles total on truck.

How long you've experienced said issue? First tank of gas only. Has not come back since (only had about 3 fill-ups since first tank).
Has Toyota done anything to try and resolve said issue? Toyota confirmed abnormal gauge reading with first tank but said no fix is available.

Edit: Tried the reset again as 404 miles was still higher than where it was before the gauge went full. Pulled into my flat garage again and made sure to hold the ODO Trip longer this time. After 5-10 seconds I watched my gas gauge go down back to where it was (very small change as this tank only had 45 miles on it). DTE back to 390 ish miles now. Guess I didn’t hold the button long enough last time? More of a heads up for people who are trying to reset it. You may need to hold the button longer than you think or you may actually have to try a few times.

I do a lot of short trips and always come home and park nose up. Will monitor it closely and see what happens.

Did it again just now. Pulled in garage and did the ODO DTE reset to fix it. My driveway is only a few degree incline when parked. Nothing too crazy. May just have to take it straight in next time it does it. Get it documented at least. Possibly will try that next week if work allows.

Has Toyota done anything to try and resolve said issue? No, the dealer thinks I need a new fuel level sensor in the tank, which are on back order. I think they are all wet, it’s a programming issue.

    Issue:
I encounter this issue when I’m at steep boat ramps. I can be at half tank of fuel and my gauge after launching the boat will show I have a full tank. I can run one of the reset sequences and it will go back to the correct reading.

If I don’t run the reset sequence my fuel gauge will slowly go down as the truck uses fuel. From an incorrect level of a full tank.

The issue will also correct itself if I fill the tank with fuel.
