Thanks, that's what I seem to be coming up with too. Not cool Toyota, not cool.

It's a little confusing because the spec sheet has a "Ground Clearance" and a "Running Ground Clearance" value for 2022, and it wasn't like that in 2021.

2021 just has a standard "Ground Clearance" at 10.1 inches, and 2022 has lower "Ground Clearance" at 8.5 inches, but the "Running Ground Clearance" numbers for the 2022 vary from 10.2 inches to 11.2 inches, which would be higher than the 2021 value. I haven't been able to find anything for the differences between these numbers and what they mean.

Edit: Found an article explaining the difference, but still don't know what Toyota was measuring in 2021 and why they changed it for 2022

You can't have reliability ratings on trucks that aren't even in consumer's hands yet. What an absolutely trash article. Total bunk. I'd say the same if they were telling us the Tundra is the most reliable.

Just more evidence that all journalists are idiots.

Really wish people on this forum would quit quoting stuff from motorbiscuit. If the name wasn't enough to tell you that it's a bunch of coffeeshop hipsters with douche-knots that think they're just struggling authors rather than hacks, then I don't know what to tell you. NOTHING from them is consistent or valid. Period.

But but but those are exactly the kind of people Toyota is targeting with the latest Tundra ad!

Just because they can afford the payment doesn't mean they know their ass from a hole in the ground.

Eh, 9.4" minimum ground clearance will be at the front bumper and the front skid plate, exhaust. That's pretty good on factory 32.5" tires. Yeah, I would do a lift, the factory 3" lift with 35's that will be available seems nice.
Pricey, but Toyota has a history of developing lifts that are smoothly integrated into their trucks.

I thought I remember Mike Sweers telling TFL that the TRD Sport package actually lowers the truck some for better street performance.

Yeah the configurator states that the TRD Sport Package comes with "lowered sports suspension".

The packages are a bit confusing with the online build tool. I want a limited with all of the tech goodies but I dont see a way with the packages to get a PVM, Pano, TRD Off road 4x4, and Premium JBL. It seems I have to compromise and not get the PVM which is a deal breaker for me as I want that feature for parking in the city. Maybe I'm missing something but I refuse to compromise on any aspect of my next Tundra purchase as my 19' SR5 is so basic and I miss having the tech. Do I need to move up to a Platinum to get everything?

I’m in the same boat. The packages don’t really jive. I want the PVM with tow mirrors and TRD OR on a limited, but can’t build it that way. The problem with the platinum is no OR package. Confusing

I find the the trd pro to be the worst looking of all the trims. I just don’t get the appeal.
