I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
Yeah the configuration limitations are dumb.

More reason to sit out model year 2022.

    Nah bro, 2022-2043 I think.

Last Tundra was a 14 year run, they’re gonna save money and stay in the theme of numbers divisible by 7.

I honestly have no clue what you're proving?

All I said was the platinum looks to only come in one interior color. Black leather with blue stitching. I'm lost af right now.

I thought it was mentioned that the blue lighting was a platinum only thing. I was surprised to see it there too - that's all.

Oh no. Someone derailed it with ambient lighting. I mentioned platinum looks to only be black with blue only and they said it's just the ambient lighting. Which I know it has it, but the other angles show that the platinum will have lots of blue in it.

It's safe to assume that the ambient lighting color can be customized and changed in the infotainment like most other cars. It's blue in the picture, but just wanted to point that out.

The interior/exterior color availability is different in Canada, base Limited can have grey(boulder) interior without having to upgrade to TRD OR, saddle tan is also widely available on Platinum.

Does payload go up a bit if you are running with less than a full tank of gas? Theoretically, the 32gal tank would hold about 192lbs of gas. So running 1/4 tank would save about 144lbs in weight.

Am I missing something? It looks to me like the highest trim you can get Lunar Rock on (other than TRD Pro) is Limited.

it's probably just a little issue with the new configurator - I'd come back after a few days/weeks once they perfect everything 0_0

I owned one for a few years and I think they are the best riding HD trucks out there, they suffer a bit in the payload dept, but the ride especially once you get the tire pressure right, was good enough for me as a city commuter

The 2022 tundra may not be as smooth as some expect, there have already been some rumblings about road feel...I am guessing the stiffer frame. The video about towing with it compared to the older gen was one place I saw it.

Road feel is relative however, and subjective to the individual.

I didn’t see anything in the different trim packages regarding the larger fuel tank add on. I recall the spreadsheet released on here had it bundled with one of the packages but don’t see anything about it on the Toyota build tool.

Either the builder is super glitchy and inaccurate, or it's accurate and all of these weird package/color combinations are legit. I'm not sure which scenario is a worse look for Toyota. They released something too early that hadn't been properly tested and fixed, or it's going to be damn near impossible to configure the exact truck you want.

I've tried my hardest to defend Toyota on this rollout when I could, but at this point it is unacceptable and concerning. I don't think I've seen a multi-billion dollar company struggle so badly when announcing a new a product, regardless of the sector. I don't even care about the cheesy pumpkin and wildfire karaoke commercials, but having dumbass YouTubers essentially announce your truck leading to confusion and misinformation, not helping anything with having a weird spec sheet that didn't match up with the trucks that the YouTubers were reviewing, refusing to announce key metrics such as MPG and pricing , AND now to top it off the builder is an absolute mess. I try my best to stay positive on here and remind everyone that at the end of the day the rollout doesn't change what the truck is, but damn this stuff is so tiring. Someone at Toyota (with an exceptionally large salary I assume) needs to be held accountable for this abomination. Any of us on this forum could have handled things better than how they are currently going.

Makes ya wonder what may be happening on the assembly line.....I don't think you could pay me to buy a vehicle made in late 2020 or 2021 right now...from any manufacturer.

    Makes me really nervous actually.

I started building F150 Tremors for the fun of it because it's at least clear and concise where my $60k is going to, and it damn near makes me want to jump ship at this point.

Yes available payload would increase if Toyota calculated their payload with a full tank of fuel (which I imagine they did).

Available payload = GVWR - curb weight.

I don't know why "legally" has any importance. If I want to beef up the rear suspension to handle more bed payload, reduce squat, reduce rear sway, I do it. Same as many thousands of other Yota truck and SUV owners that have done so through the generations.

The Blueprint color has a lot of the same characteristics of my Navaro Blue S5 Audi, from certain angles/lighting, it looks black, but in good light/sun, it's a nice blue with metal flake in it, that really comes out nicely in the sun.

I've build several SR5's now and noticed that they are saying that you can get the 32-gal tank with certain packages on the DC 6.5' and CC 5.5', but when I try to build a CC 6.5' it's not showing any package available with the larger 32 gallon tank.....that's strange, unless it's a payload thing.

You might be right; I was going back and forth between 1794 and Limited so that might apply to the Limited.

Is the 3" lift option on the configurator?

It could also be some of the options seem odd because there are other limitations we can't seem. Stuff like suppliers limited by chip supply, etc. Look at GM selling premium trucks without heated seats or heated steering wheels. Weird times with all the supply chain issues!

Also, I have had times where the configurator wouldn't let certain combinations be picked, but the combination can be ordered through a dealer.
