None of the big 3 offer their top trims with standard beds as far as I know.

I could only imagine. I've seen one ton trucks trying to park in downtown Denver and well, it's not pretty just funny.

Yep what I figured. Basically same shit as mine I call 11k plus. Can’t imagine 11k plus more payment in short term without dishing out. Now we need more banks to do 10 yrs forget 6yrs.

The new tundra is the same width as a Ford F250...actually, the Tundra is .2 inches wider than the F250.

The new Tundra is every bit as big as some 3/4 tons and 1/ton SRW trucks so maneuverability wouldn't be a factor, now ride comfort that is a different story.

I read SR5 is 85% RV for 2 year lease. I’d lease one of those while riding out the market for a TRD pro.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
I have an even better idea: I will just drive my paid off truck for a few more years and not lease anything. This market is going to get corrected, and there will be plenty of re-po’s and turn ins to choose from. Probably plenty of new inventory to choose from too at nice discounts. Give it 18-24 months.

Will you be able to lift the truck with adaptive variable suspension and the air ride. Would take 1794 (cant believe the saddle tan interior has grown on me) with the advanced package but really would to lift it. Sure aftermarket will come out with something just hoping it won't make check engine lights turn on.

    @D_GOOSE

I’m sure Toytec or some other aftermarket company that wants to tackle the project will be able to lift an air sprung Tundra. They’ll probably even be able to do it right.

It will probably cost a lot of money. Quality suspension components usually do. Most people don’t have the budget to buy quality engineered aftermarket suspension systems. I suspect the Bubba grade spacer lift that 99.999999% of truck owners buy isn’t going to play nice with a fancy air suspension.

The question I have is aside from cosmetics, why are you seeking to potentially lift a $65,000 truck? Are you actually going to go beat on it off road where you need bigger tires and more clearance? Unsolicited advice, but that’s the wrong tool for the job even if you can afford it.

If I find $5 in cash I become deliriously happy, and place said cash in my wallet where it will live until discovered by my wife. I hate spending money, especially cash but she doesn’t know that.

She will confiscate it from me, because there is nothing the female of the species hates more than cash money in the “irresponsible” gun buying, tool buying, hands of a male. She will hide it in her wallet along with all the other cash she finds until she goes to the bank. Whereupon it is put into savings. I hate spending money, but my wife makes me look like a piss drunk sailor on shore leave in comparison.

Personally just like the looks of a lifted truck better. I've lifted everyone ive owned. Ive never done a spacer lift and definitely wouldnt on this 65k truck either. I want it to have a features i want including HUD. Not into off roading so dont care about the off road package. I care more about comfort.

sweers told me on Facebook that the AVS system would have to be disabled/ turned off and the air suspension removed, but as noted earlier the aftermarket might be able to address this. Hopefully the first platinum/ 1794 hybrid long bed in my color pallet that comes in doesn’t have it, otherwise I’ll end up paying for it

If I was you I’d leave it alone then, but my cosmetic preferences are different. In my view a lifted truck that’s not covered in dirt and getting used as a truck is pathetic.

LOTS of us buy expensive trucks and use them in rough conditions, it’s pretty normal these days and actually using the truck as we see fit… hence why Toyota makes the TRD pro, ford raptor, etc

Is it true platinum only comes in the black leather with blue stitching? That’s all that shows on my config.

well optioned out the plat 5.5 in blueprint. sadly the accessories page is missing some items like the aluminum running boards. also you cant get the black/silver dual steps on the top package (avs & bsm), if you add it, it will drop the avs/bsm package but you can add the rock sliders and predator steps. they catch to much snow/ice/slush during the winter and builds up a chunk on the supports.

and that setup runs at $67k with accessories. and we prob wont be able to get the hybrid since that will add probably another $3k to the price.

Some of it is. But there is 100% a black leather with blue stitching, I’m just curious if that’s all there is.

Unless I'm missing something, the SR5 loaded up with packages (Advanced Tech Pkg, Premium Audio, PVM + BSM Mirrors) costs MORE than an equivalent Limited, while still having fewer features...

    SR5 DC, 4x4 w/Advanced Tech Pkg, Premium Audio, PVM + BSM - $52,675
    Limited DC, 4x4 w/Limited PVM - $52,495
I think technically the Limited needs to also add the "Limited Power Pkg" for $385 to get the bed power outlet but the configurator doesn't let you add multiple packages.

Toyota really wants to push you up to higher trims $$$

There's no add-ons that will actually change the stated payload rating, legally.
