Capability for the money what does make sense is a gasser 3/4 ton or 1 ton in a lower to mid trim...less money, more capability and they are about the same size as a 1500

You do give up interior size, I went from a Ram 2500 to a Tacoma, it was a little bit of a transition, but I wouldn't give up the Tacoma at this point, I am actually on my 2nd one. The size is perfect for us traveling and camping, the price is right, I am in the market for another full size truck but not to replace the Tacoma. I like the size off road, and like the capability as well, I can almost go everywhere I could go in my Jeeps but with a bit more comfort at the end of the day. And in town and parking its not even a close contest.

I will however say that I do miss the ability of a sheet of plywood and a normal pallet to fit between the wheel wells, I miss being able to load all the materials I need onto a pallet and take them off with the tractor when I get home.

Yep, daily driving a 2500 sucks ass, I have done it and its not fun especially if you live in somewhat of a city. I would rather occasionally be pushing over my payload than drive a mega truck that costs way more to operate daily.

Maybe say "decent" for a factory door sticker. I guarantee aftermarket will have stronger rear coils available fast.

Thought MPG was 17/22 and 18/23. Wonder where the 24 is coming from....

4x2 is 18/23. They either made a typo, upped the city mpg by 1 on 4x2, or leaked the hybrid numbers (surely it's better than 1 mpg)

Hybrid gas to be better than that, not a chance it isn’t. City for sure will be a big change- getting up to speed and highway will go up a decent amount.

Those have been like that since they released the numbers. - the 4x2 has less weight/friction - I'm assuming that savings is in the drive train, and gained the 1 mpg.

The 4x2 has been stated 23 highway-17city since they first released numbers. Maybe the official epa number are out now?

If Toyota pre-released the numbers before final EPA approval that is embarrassing and yet another mistake in this horrendous rollout. EPA testing should be happening months before trucks hit the lot, not days/weeks. Feels like everything has just been rushed through at this point.

I’m guessing the SR model gets up to 24mpg with it being detuned

I suspect the holdup is the EPA not Toyota.

this ought to be interesting, LOL

    JBL® Premium Audio System
Start your adventure on a high note with Tundra’s available 12-speaker, 1200-watt JBL® Premium Audio system. Including a newly designed subwoofer and QuantumLogic® Surround technology, this advanced system will make the soundtrack to your journey sound better than ever.

newly designed subwoofer, HA. OK toyota, since the last one completely sucked in everyway and is laying in my basement somewhere, lets hope at least 400 W is going to the sub, lol, ya right

Was I wrong in thinking Lunar Rock was not available on a Limited? I could have sworn LR was only available on the SR5 and Pro.

Builder shows LR as an option on a Limited with TRD OR package.

I have tried everything. Can't even order a heated steering wheel. When I try it gets deleted if I order ANYTHING else. I have tried numerous combos and will only let me add 1 item before it deletes the previous.

Doesn’t look like I’ll be getting the trd off road I wanted. It’s almost the price as the limited

Didn't someone say that the top end prices won't pass 70K? I just built a fully loaded 1794 that hit 67,453....I think your gonna see 70K plus once the hybrid drivetrain is an option.

I also built an SR for 41K as well...lol

I've been adamant that MSRP won't cross $70k until Capstone, and it's still true. Of course you can throw a bunch of accessories at it and get to that number, but you could do that on the 2021 if you tried hard enough. The most expensive 1794 (excluding accessories) I can build is around $66k, and that's a 6.5 foot bed with an exclusive color.

The builder confirmed my suspected build price for a limited but I'm stumped on the digital rearview. The digital rearview is listed for the limited as part of a package, but I haven't been able to find a package that lists it. Has anyone found the option/package for limited trim? Hoping to make the jump from a 2012 Tacoma to Tundra as soon as my dealer gets a Limited TRD OR with the right package.

I've been stumped with this question too. I remember watching the TikTok of Forrest in a Limited that had it. I'm thinking it may be in the PVM package and just not listed, or they ditched it after the pre production models?

I kinda wish they would've gone with an 18" for the TRD OR set up as well. The 20's look good - but the 18's would be a lot nicer in the dirt I think. I wonder what the thought process was with the 20's.

I don’t get that either. Better wheels on the sr5 and worse for the higher end trims? Odd .
