What I got from Costco after building a truck:

Currently, we have not located a dealership in your area that has met our strict pricing criteria for the manufacturer you selected.

If you would like to choose another manufacturer, perform another search.

A lot of Dealerships are not honoring or signing a contract with Costco. My mom went to a Costco dealership a few months ago when she bought her Acura MDX. The dealership said $2k over msrp. We called Costco to let them know. Costco said that was a breach of contract but the dealer wouldn’t budge so they ended the contract with them.

Are they going to update the PDF spec sheet or are their demo prototypes wrong? I'm seeing more inconsistencies.

I try to give companies the benefit of the doubt, and I’m still excited for the new Tundra, but this rollout has been mishandled to say the least. I’m disappointed with Toyota.

An agonizingly slow trickle of official media from Toyota, building up hype for a climactic official reveal, which was a bit flat in the SNF ad IMO, and now all of that steam is gone. We get a spec sheet that wasn’t proof read, no configurator - even a trimmed down version, no official pricing, or epa mileage for the exciting new flagship high output hybrid engine.

I’m not doubting the Tundra is a quality product, but this rollout reminds me of being in school and seeing groups present projects that may be a sound idea, but the due diligence wasn’t done and it’s obvious the team wasn’t ready to present.

There are supposedly in production and hitting dealers in a few weeks and I feel there should be a build tool or something more comprehensive than the original launch page we saw like a month ago.

The service station doesn't have the ability to set their own price. It's a franchise and they have to set the price according to what the corporation determains for the area. Certain geographical areas fuel prices are higher because of factors such as taxes and demand.

I looked again at the rolling chassis videos like this The New 2022 Toyota Tundra Still Has a Feature That Is Now Disappearing From All of Truckdom! Ep.3 - YouTube

There are two plugs on the pass side of the trans that probably is where the aux cooler hoses and thermostat will be. I've heard several mentions an air-to-fluid cooler is behind the main radiator so not easily seen unless someone would have crawled underneath the rolling chassis.

    this right here!!

first year of Toyota putting the 3.5 in a truck, and y’all think it’ll go for a million miles too.

Many YouTube videos out there showing this is the least reliable engine Toyota has ever made

ecoboost has had 10 years to perfect it. I’d bet the eco boost lasts longer than the Toyota rival

Doubtful, Toyota wouldn’t put their reputation in the line and let ford steal the crown. Ecoboost is a POS, almost every owner I know hates theirs after about 20th on the clock

LOL, there's nothing wrong with the EcoBoost, especially the 3.5. They had a minor issue with the stretching chain some years back but it's a pretty solid and impressive engine.

Everybody gets so dramatic over here. The air must be thin all the way up here on that pedastal!:rofl::rofl:

It sure has been entertaining watching you change your mind so much over the past year and a half, always crapping on the brand you happened to have chosen against at the time.

Kind of funny hearing you make claims like that after you decided to get rid of your current Ford because of all the problems you were having with it and then deciding to replace it with another Ford.

but the problem is that in order to get the hud package, you have to get the auto running boards which add another $1350 to the price to just remove them afterwards.

so you end up paying $2995 for the hud and auto boards. for $3k i can do without the hud.

that might just a limitation of going thru costco though, not when going thru an actual dealer.

Google Ecoboost carbon buildup. But they did resolve this issue by.... copying Toyota. Just screwed over all the customers who bought an Ecoboost before the fix.

Auto running boards are a separate line item from the Advanced package with the HUD- hud is tied to the air lift suspension and avs

or save myself the issue of losing $350-$550 dollars on the cost of $1350

the auto boards are $1350, the hud/avs package is $1650, but when you check the box for the hud package it auto checks the box for the auto boards on costco website. you cant uncheck the auto boards, hence the $3k cost.

Agreed! I don't think it's worth it either. I was just pointing out that you could get money back on the power steps and that would change the math. But $2k is still too much for hud...

That's the one thing I hate about Toyota's "package system" I can understand packaging things like the TRD off-road package, but then there is no reason that you need power running boards in order to get the HUD system. It's just a way to force you to spend more money in order to get something you want.
