Biggest upgrade I've noticed that you can't get on the SR5 is ventilated seats and tailgate release in taillight. Also the sunroof might not be available and the hybrid is not an option.

so it looks like they added about 6-7K for the platinum over the 2021 I think.

base price vs base price 4x4 crewmax

This places a limited OR at around $78k CAD. There is no fn way in hell I am paying $78k for that. I paid $62k for my Sport Premium 2021 7 months ago. Prices shouldn’t go up $16k for a comparable 2022.

66k add the lift and you have a 70k truck. Tack on another 2-4k for the hybrid and you have a nearly 75k truck.

And given these first runs are Toyota allocated, I bet they'll be optioned up.

just a guess, maybe up to 62k msrp but I don’t see it being higher than a raptor. I’m still mad about not buying a base 2020 raptor for low 50s last year. I don’t care about adm, only msrp there are dealers that will not sell above msrp and I’m willing to travel and give them my business.

When I put my "deposit" down I was told the price would start with a 6. Hopefully there is a 2 after the six and not an 8.

There’s no way Toyota will price the limited $10k CAD over a Lariat.

Add the off-road package and tow mirrors to get it the way I like it, pushing $71k before TTL.... I did a build on a well optioned Lariat F-250 with the diesel and the tremor package, increased towing, as well as several other things and it was about $78k from what I remember...

Fully agree. I'm just trying to justify why $60k for a 1794 is reasonable when a Denali is $70k (or whatever. I just made up numbers. Nobody get butthurt.)

    $52k USD = ~$61k CAD

How much do you think a Lariat is? Last I checked, an XLT was between $53k and $57k CAD, depending on how you optioned it.

Not gonna lie I think the prices I've seen are higher than expected. I'd want a loaded up hybrid version and that will push over 70k. Not sure where the "world beater" is with this truck but at those prices definitely will have to consider other options. May even look at 3/4 ton domestic trucks.

I’m comparing the limited with the OR package on this sheet. $60kUSD x 1.3 is $78k CAD. That’s $16k more all in than I paid for my sport premium. That’s more than a 21 TRD Pro…

Load up a F150 hybrid and it’ll push over 80k. Just the nature of the segment right now. Toyota is still the best value out there for half ton.

How much was that? I didn't notice.

I just went to the Ford website and a supercrew short box Lariat 4x4 with the 3.5EB and the FX4 package is $68k CAD (~$58k USD) before I add any other options.

ETA is that the one that's $60k USD including destination? Not that far off given we don't know what other options it may have...

I don’t think the Denali is worth the extra $10k. It’s all subjective though.

Neither do I. But I'm more of a SR5/SLE/LT/XLT kind of a guy anyway.

This is one of my local dealers. Been on the lot a bunch lately and they show no dealer mark ups (sales guy promised me msrp never got that far in the process). Just saying for 70k I'd rather get this. Sad part is I want the toyota. Just told my wife the other day I was going with the toyota but they made me second guess.

Doesn’t make sense to my simple mind. How does the Platinum trim have fewer colour options than the SR5 for example (and the fewest options from all trims for that matter? What also doesn’t make sense is how the SR5 has a lunar rock colour that is also found on the TRD pro but that is not offered in any trim.

Go for it! It’s a HD so there’s not much comparison with it and the Tundra. I will say this isn’t the updated 22 model and I think the old GMC interior looks like it came straight from 2013, but everyone is different and some people like it that way. Also, GMC reliability is meh.

But for $70k I would rather have a fully loaded half ton Toyota than a watered down domestic HD (assuming that the extra towing/payload wasn’t a priority).

Again, it depends how many options that Limited has. I can build a Lariat that costs over $60k USD.

Good question. I don't tow a lot. I work in flooring so may occasionally have a pallet of product back there and my boat isn't that big. Don't need a 2500 but the extra towing and payload never hurts to have.

No ruling out toyota. I like the truck and was settled on it but personally I think a hybrid 1794/platinum over 70k is much for this truck.

As far as reliability we all argree toyota is the best but we also gotta remember this is a new motor. Yes it's been tested and is in the Lexus but how well will it hold up in a truck? Time will tell
