    None. Just bought.
Love the picture with the fore and background. Wish I had a nice spot like that to put my Tundra.

With the long wait times and supply issues in mind; If anyone in the Florida area is looking for a 1794, the local dealer (Gettel Toyota in Bradenton) has one on the floor with nobody's name on it yet.
It is listed as used, but only 190 miles on it. My understanding is that the manager has been driving it as one of his perks so they have to sell it as used.

Should be able to still sell new with only 194 miles on it.

i don’t buy that explanation. If the manager had been driving it but never titled it, it could be sold as new. I bought my ‘07 Tundra this way: the Sales Mgr had been driving it and I bought it with 2300 miles AS NEW with the same financing rates as other new autos.

if it’s been titled, it’s used.

Ya, I'm not sure if it varies state by state, but my 22' Tundra had almost 5000 miles and was sold as new. Mine was used by a manager for 3 months.

Ya right. It was take that one (which pretty much matched what I wanted) or wait god knows how long for the next 1794 with the 6.5 foot bed. There was someone ready to buy if I left it. It was a MSRP dealership also, so no markup.

Also in Bama and was trying to source one, I don't know if SET doesnt have as many allocations as the other regions but same boat hardly any allocations on 4wd Tundras available and almost every bama dealer is charging some sort of markup.

The manager probably thought it was a keeper and titled it to him/her self. Unless a high mileage state rule triggers it, that's probably what happenend.

Everyone should call and offer $64K.

Just depends. I bought my previous Tacoma with 16 miles as a used truck. The guy bought it, had it registered in his name, and was arrested the next day for white collar crime, which money he tried to use to pay for the truck. So the dealer got the truck back, but because it was registered already it was a used truck. I assume this Tundra is a similar situation with registration or something. Dealer won't sell it as used if they don't have to.

Wasn't there a story about some dealers registering trucks then turning around and selling them when used trucks were going for more than new ones?

Right if it's titled and sounds like fraud. The dealer shouldn't be doing that.

Dealer demos aren’t registered it’s odd it was registered. Sure the manager didn’t personally buy it?

So, front diff issues, transmission replacements, hybrid system malfunction warning lights, power steering malfunctions, screen issues, molding and body issues,....whew, the first page of the forum is starting to look like a Chevy forum....hope this changes soon.:fingerscrossed: I hope they have gotten all their kinks out with the TNGA truck platform on the Tundra so the 4 runner, tacoma and Sequoia goes much smoother.

It truly is only a handful of trucks having these issues and 10's of thousands of them having zero issues.

Its more than a handful, jump off here go to reddit, FB, youtube, guys are having all kinds of QC issues. Not saying they all are a pile of trash, but its alot more than the Toyota norm and a bit concerning, even as an early adopter of the 3rd gen Tacoma, didnt see near as many issues first year.

ya, its more than a handful that for sure.

they do seem to be improving as time goes along. This was a ground up super complicated truck, but toyota is damn good at ironing things out, they will come through.

Im going to bet the 2023 will be much cleaner

I'm on all 3 all day. Majority are the same poeple posting in different places. It's not 3x the issues, you're just reading the same issues 3 times. Hell I've seen the same folks post in the FB page of 22+ owners, Tundra Nation, Tundra Owners. Which btw if you own a gen 3 stay out of the last two because it's just a circle jerk of gen 1 and 2.

are you seeing a slow down and improvement as the production run gets more mature? Seems like it to me from what Im seeing and Im leaning 2023 will be fairly clean builds

We are also talking about a truck with alot of hype. In the past, people with issues just would take it and get it repaired under warranty. Now in the social media and influencer era, everyone wants to complain to whoever will listen.

As am I cause I really wanted a 3rd gen Tundra, there are some double posts but plenty that are not and certainly more than a handful. When you have Max Powell (was well known over on TW), other Toyota Youtubers like TRDJon, etc. saying hey this thing has issues its concerning. Its not just a select few, trust me I saw this same debate unfold on TW, all the old gen guys hating on new gen guys, for TW it was silly things like minivan engine and small issues like the bad CPS', diff hum and weird transmission logic, but it was consistent. On these new Tundras I've seen diffs, power steering, waste gate, cracked seats, screens missing pixels, rear diffs falling off, leaking sunroofs, etc. You would be in serious denial if you dont think there are quality issues and its not just a single part or design issue and this early on does not speak well to longevity. Not hating cause like I said I am a first year adopter and Toyota fan boy, but even I am like WTF and pausing, despite having the means and wanting the new Tundra.

Really not trying to stir the pot, but how do these people get ratings? Not another boring "here is the new 3rd gen Tundra" video. There are a million out there like that. They are gonna focus on something different to keep their watchers returning. I dont theink there are anymore QC issues than the next vehicle. My last truck was a 2021 2500HD Denali. It had a leaking sunroof, unravelling stiching, and loose weatherstripping. I didnt post all over the internet about it, I just got it taken care of under warranty. No issues after that.

Every YT'r I've watched, inclding TRDJohn, have had QC issues and it's clickbait material. No one has had anything catastrophic. And it is handful. Beyond the wastegate which was a supplier issue there haven't been any widespread major failures.

What about the guy who lost his rear axle, thats not a major failure? I'm not trying to argue but I think alot here are trying to minimize or argue away the lack of QC especially from Toyota.
