That helps. I was wondering if I should try getting a Platinum without the Advanced Package, but I suspected it could be a long wait. Toyota is going to be loading these trucks up with everything for a while. I just picked three colors, Platinum Hybrid and whatever else it comes with I am just going to have to eat the cost.

Our fav YT star just paid a dealership to install the TRD pro skid plate.

I don’t know why, half the front bumper is missing anyways.

    AVS is adaptive dampening, right?
And why so negative on the electric steps? They're removable, ...right?

Ooh, I just had an idea, lol. Would it be possible if you use the electric steps' wiring harness to make DIY rock lights?

I wonder how many people are trading in some other truck on the new Tundra and not really paying attention to what they’re getting because they’re just assuming that what their last truck had was standard. This guy didn’t notice there’s no outlet in the bed and no wireless charger. How do you not notice these things if they’re important?

I do agree with him that it should have floor mats. But again, how did he not notice that?

The disappointment for me is that this guy, who obviously didn't read the Monroney sticker on his truck before he bought it, has a camera that blocks 2/3 of the picture and we gotta watch stupid black bars and a skinny video.
There's a lot of that going around, though.

I'm sure in his excitement of receiving his brand new vehicle he overlooked those things and upon getting home and having it for a while, he had more time to look around and that's when he started to notice those missing. Plus looking at the VW in the garage he probably hasn't had a whole lot of experience with new toyota purchases, and maybe VW offers that standard. Admittedly I've made similar mistakes in my earlier days after buying a used craigslist car and noticing scrapes/dents that I hadn't seen before. Also having worked at a dealership customers don't exactly spend a lot of time to fully look over the vehicle they're purchasing, a lot of the time is spent w/ paperwork, negotiating costs, finance dept etc. The test drive is like 10% of the time spent there maybe even less and usually the customers are just ogling at the truck from the outside not really the interior.

I agree though for a $60k truck no floor mats along with missing wireless charging/outlets in the cab and bed, which you would think should be standard, would leave me disappointed too. And I'm beating a dead horse but-the chrome/black accents don't flow well together, just go black it out toyota and stop charging for those <$100 accessories it's almost like an Apple product line at this point. I feel carpet mats should be standard and rugged rubber mats could be optional at the very least. Also he probably doesn't realize but having lurked on the 3rd gen subforum I'm upset for him and others that Canada trd packages get the nicer steering wheel but the US ones don't...

This may be a Canadian thing, but don’t all Limiteds have the bed lights & power outlet? Interior rear seat power outlet & mats should be part of the limited too right? Or is that a difference between Canadian & US Limited trim? Certainly something seems to be missing from the Limited.

I watched that. It's almost like he intentionally bought the truck just so he can feel a little sad and "disappointed".

This guy has been fun to watch.

I wish he hadn't wrecked his new Tundra though.

Mine doesn’t have it. I believe the “Limited Power Package” (somewhat awkwardly, and ironically accurately named) is what adds wireless charging, the AC plug in the rear of the cab, and the outlet in the bed. I don’t remember what option adds bed lighting but maybe that is standard, I forget. ;-)

Took delivery this morning 94 days total since I placed deposit. Put right into action at Costco. Very Happy with initial impressions.

You pay $3000 for the TRD OR package you should get the 400W inverter. It's useful for keeping batteries charged, nice tool actually. Lack of 2005 Tacoma TRD OR tech on a 2022 Tundra TRD OR is goofy. It's basic tech. There's no world-beater there. Can't even match a 2005 Tacoma TRD OR.

You can get all of that, have it in my truck. Except you have to have the TRD Off road package that is $5,930, shit gets expensive!!

That’s the exact target market Toyota is aiming for

All jokes aside. It’s awesome actually seeing someone with a white crewmax long bed TRDOR though. Looks amazing.

Yep mall crawling for me. But will also do it’s fair share of towing. Downsizing my 40ft diesel motorhome for an airstream TT next year. This the long wheelbase need.

I like he showed the bill for only $200 for the recovery. That's cheap for that amount of work, IMO. And, of course, if the tow guy was pulling from the front he would have to hook onto the LCA's because no tow hooks. Tow guy actually mentioned that.

The 6.5’ bed makes the truck look proportional vs the 5.5’ bed with the long front end. I really like it

He's testing the limits of the truck in a knucklehead kind of way. Love it, doesn't mambypamby. Shows where the crap front and rear plastic tears off.

Nice to see a positive comment towards him for a change. Reading all the hate and bullying with this guy makes me really just sad for a lot of people. He’s doing his own thing and showing us what the truck can and can’t do while having a good time and most of the comments just seem to be putting him down or making fun of him. Unlike his videos if you aren’t contributing anything positive to this thread then keep it to yourself and grow the fuck up.

Sorry, but last time I checked, mockery was still a protected form of free speech in this Country like it or not. He makes these vids knowing he's a complete idiot, yet he posts them anyway knowing they will gain clicks, which in the end is all he really wants. Cry me a river. :annoyed:

Well said. From what I've seen 90% of other posters will be de-chroming instead of out and about..
