Completely with you on that one. Longhorn vs Limited on the Ram (I've owned the later), or Platinum vs Limited on the Ford (I've owned the former).
I'm stoked for my upcoming 1794 next month and am thrilled the Capstone isn't offered in the Mesquite.
Personally, I'm shying away from the hybrid also. To me, that's going to take some time to shale out. The non-hybrid needs no shaking out - it's been powering Lexus LS 500's and Toyota Avalon's for a while now. Super reliable.

Yeah I like the interior, not a huge fan of the huge rims and random chrome trim.

actually there are some serious QC problems at the moment, check out the turbo thread.

but I agree, the hybrid will bring an entirely new round of QC BS most likely. plus you have to pay more and lose storage.

More technology means more outsourcing from new sources which means increased unforeseen quality control issues...it takes time and lots of tweeking to get all these various outsources functioning along like clockwork at a high level of dependability...
    imo

Smart short term money maker...make everything yuckie chrome then charge the rubes more money to remove said chrome.
In fact sell "packages" of removed chrome items...don't have one big chrome delete button...have several...;)

I just play the odds with Toyota and Lexus. Odds are Toyota/Lexus you'll do better than other brands, especially buying used. Gotta crawl underneath and inspect everything though. The first thing I do buying used is check the Carfax. If it's from the Northeast I'll skip it and find something that has lived west of Kansas.

My brother's response: I just put my truck in sport mode when I'm passing and you don't even notice if you hit 140. It could easily go faster but I haven't tried.

I saw my first one in person at a dealer today. It was locked, seats still covered in plastic. 4x2 DC SR5 no options except the SR5 package ($45k and change total MSRP) that gets you the large fuel tank and maybe BSM? Army Green with the SR5 regular grill. I guess I wasn’t blown away by it by any stretch but that’s not really the combo I would choose. The interior looked very nice. The grill did not seem as crazy big as how it has looked in the pictures. I’m intrigued enough that I want to see a CrewMax 4x4 in windchill pearl, lunar rock, blueprint or black. I did like the base model Rav 4 I saw so maybe I’m getting soft.

Oh look a “Carolina Squatted” Tundra.

How else is a guy to advertise he’s into incest, meth, domestic abuse, flat brim hats, and collecting Affliction branded clothing?

Maybe there was a small pumkin in the bed we couldn't see.

    Whatever, it still looks goofy.

Ok, so someone please tell me, what's new/special about the new Capstone? (besides wood grain trim, leather, and chrome)

EDIT: I just learned that it comes with acoustic glass to make the interior even quieter, ok so that's new (compared to all the other trims). Another thing is that it has hydraulic cab mounts, not just the usual rubber (but other trims like the 1794 already has that)

Listen, not everyone in the Carolinas with a squatted truck wears a flat brim hat.

I tried to watch this video and was exhausted at the “pace” several minutes in. He’s bright but the redundancy of re-describing numerous times what the video is about was just fatiguing

ya me too, I just fast scrolled over the points. He has to be long winded to make it seem like there is something there worth while when there isnt.

I mean one of the points was its short bed only, LMFAO.

get out of here with that shit.

its a platinum or 1794 truck with no western vive and more chrome, like an urban chrome truck, with the typical recent toyota 700 different colors and materials inside.
