The sunroof is standard on the 8371 or TRD Pro Crew Max. Quite a scavenger hunt to track down that tid bit. Fingers crossed for whats featured above! I love the BSM and Parking Sonar on my Tacoma.

My 2020 06V7 Army Green Machine is scheduled for production 8/22. Submitted a color change request on a white one and it was accepted!

Still no pictures of a Crew Max in Army Green yet?

In 2019 Tundra customers had a 3-color decision to make for their TRD Pro. They could pick Super White, Midnight Black Metallic or Voodoo Blue.

For the 2020 model year, Toyota has switched things up a bit. Tundra buyers can pick from Army Green, Midnight Black Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Super White. Magnetic Gray is a new addition to the TRD Pro lineup for 2020, although certainly not new to the Tundra fleet.

Sorry of this has already been posted. I'm not in the market for a PRO so I didn't read from page 1 to see if it was already mentioned :D

So I had my dealer contact their regional office. The regional higher ups he talked to said that the pro won’t have any extra features besides the 8 inch screen jbl and push button. No dual zone climate, bsm, etc. If that’s the case then I won’t be getting one. Toyota really dropped the ball on a $55K truck.

Agreed. I want the PRO and Platinum so bad. Completely torn in two.. I'm leaning Platinum again but not like the idea that I need to spend more after I get the truck to get it how I like.

I like your enthusiasm and hope they are wrong. The dealer does have an oct 1 production date for an army green one so if I want it i can have it.

So aside from dual zone climate it sounds like most of that other stuff was bad intel based off n what’s in the website. No BSM, heated let alone heated and ventilated seats, no leather wheel, etc. booooo

If the pro had all those it would rob sales from the other trims.

I just built one on the Toyota website with the updated build database, and the summary included the automatic dual zone climate control, but no heated seats, no BSM and the standard urethane steering wheel. The updated 8.0" tech was on there as well as all the lane departure and radar cruise, etc...but none of the other Limited / Platinum features.

Looks like it's still the basic SR5 donor with the dual-zone climate control, the TRD Pro bits and the sunrooof. Booo.

I’m still leaning towards the pro. I love extra options and features as much as the next guy, but I think I like the look of the pro with the extra hood scoop and the bed stamp more. And I like the cool factor of it. I know I could turn a platinum into a truck that’s easily better than a pro (according to everyone on here). I just priced it out and if I got the platinum with the trd dual exhaust, brake pads and skid plate, it would cost 56k, then the wheels, tires, and suspension, lifting it, I’m sure I’d spend over 60k after everything right? Plus, I’m not sure how comfortable I am modifying. Although I know a modified platinum could easily be better than a pro (according to everyone on here), I feel I wouldn’t be as proud of it still. Is that bad?

Now as far as the features go, there’s a lot I’d miss. I’d miss the parking sensors and the auto tilting mirror when reversing. The BSM is nice, but I find I always look over my shoulder anyway in my other cars. Rear cross traffic.. dang ill miss that too. I’ll miss the leather steering too actually, so I may do something about that. The heated and ventilated seats are not too important to me (live in socal), and ive used the feature like 3 times in the past 6 years in my car lol. I have the perforated leather too, and I don’t notice the difference.. that much. I will definitely appreciate the keyless start (didn’t buy the 19 because of it), and automatic climate though. Sigh, I do love my creature comforts, but I guess this is close enough. After writing this paragraph, I’m questioning if I’m making the right decision again. Does it sound like I’m settling?

I’m sure the next iteration of this truck will have 360 cam and works right? I mean I hope Toyota doesn’t f. up that badly lol, so I guess I can enjoy this truck for everything that it is now, and in 5 years or so, maybe if the new pro has all the features, I’ll upgrade then (if i even want to). Not like we have to talk about it holding its value or anything.

So, in conclusion lol, I’m pretty set on the pro, but I’ve been flip flopping last several weeks.. So now, what color? Army green may be too bold for me..

More than anything I’m excited about getting a tundra to hit some trails, do a little bit of off roading, and go on some long road trips with the pupper.

So what are you going to do?

I'm in the exact same boat as you. Like you mentioned, doing all the upgrades and what not the truck reaches 60k. Also just discovered the Platinum has chrome mirrors and door handles.. AND the Platinum has the clear/chrome headlights while the TRD PRO has the beautiful black headlights.. That's more money too.

I wanted Voodoo Blue, but now come to think of it a Platinum Voodoo Blue would look goofy with all those chrome pieces. There are no painted Voodoo Blue pieces readily available anywhere.. So there goes the grill with paint tacking on extra expenses and headaches finding a body shop.

Seems like a white TRD PRO is the smartest decision... Those features on the platinum though.. It's truly difficult to choose. The PRO looks better, sits better and rides better out of the box.

Wow I didn't even notice that about the headlights. Good call. Yeah absolutely no chrome for me either. I leaning towards the magnetic grey pro.

I agree with about everything you said. Torn on the lack of features. It’s the small options that would make it so much better.

I test drove a 19 pro yesterday and made several comparisons between it and my raptor. First the pro rides just as well as my raptor on the highway. It was very smooth. The exhaust and engine sounded amazing. That’s where the good ends. It has more wind noise, felt unsteady at tight turning off ramps, the lack of tech and material quality also was significantly worse. At the end of the day I still kind of want one. Tough first world decisions ahead of me. Lol

I called a few dealerships around the area to see if they can check when they'll receive a 2020 tundra, and they all say October, November. One said December. Is this a realistic timeline considering their build start date was aug 5th, right?

Also I'm not sure if this is the correct thread to ask this, or even if asking is appropriate, but I'm not interested in paying any "Market Adjustment" fee. I'm from socal, willing to travel, probably not outside of california as i have to get that $1300 smog thing. Can anyone recommend a good dealership theyve had experience with that wont charge those ridiculous fees over msrp?

Did you notice how heavy the truck felt? I drove a Plat and PRO back to back yesterday. IMO the Platinum was a much better ride including the seats, steering wheel and overall features.

Paying for ADM is such a pain in the a$$.. All dealerships do this in Cali and I thought it was only Porsche when shopping for a 911. ADM on Toyotas and Fords make me chuckle.

Seek out a dealer in AZ or NV. It may well be worth it... You can also setup a Montana LLC for cheap do avoid the tax. All legal and legitimate.

No question about it... Pro is a beauty but those seats legitimately suck and are the biggest deal breaker. It also almost felt like there was no power steering and it required 2x-3x the effort to turn the wheel compared to the platinum.. Perhaps the few salesmen I've talked to were telling the truth.. The PRO is almost purely for off roading.. To those who say it drives better on road too, I just don't see it and I'm not buying those words anymore.

Make sure you go on a somewhat extended drive instead of the typical 3 right turns around the block. I drove about a mile in the city, hopped on the freeway for 2 exits and looped back. Also did some maneuvering through the parking lot there.

Drive the Platinum first, then drive the PRO. You'll notice the comfort levels are totally different, the steering wheel is leather and more pleasant in the Platinum. The ventilated seats don't work like a super high end car but they operate nonetheless and it helps with keeping the seat cooler by circulating air flow.

I'd like to hear your opinion to weed out the possibility that I drove a messed up PRO.. I figured the smaller and lighter BBS rims would assist in a more pleasant drive but I feel like they did not.

I drove the pro, platinum, and a few others and liked the pro best. Felt more like a truck and not a big car

Just got used to feeling things and the Cadillac feel of the ride wasnt for me.

The suspension in the pro I took over a 10 MPH set of tracks at 55 and caught air. Landed and didn't bounce. Recover was one soft up and leveled off.

The overall drive was not bad, it was the same as the Platinum. It just felt heavier. The real problem was the seats and loss over several other features which adds up.

IMO unless you're seriously off roading daily/weekly it's not as good DD truck as a Platinum. Your line about catching air is pretty cool though and I'm sure the Plat would bounce hard. On the short offroad trail we took a steep sharp decline hill up and down. The Pro felt a little better on that part.

Its weird they feel different weight wise. They are nearly identical on paper.

Build date got moved back to 8/26 which was a 4 day move.

I'm trying to calm the obsessing about it until it actually gets built and then go nuts on its two weekish train ride.

    Thinking about "KERMIT" vanity plates...
