That's a pretty cool idea. I do maybe 3-4 cold weather camping nights a year so not a lot, but for when I do it's unbearable. The RTT insulation doesn't do crap and my snot just freezes up overnight. Looking forward to the heater setup completion.

Thanks! Right now my focus has been on custom telescoping awning mounts. I figure as spring is here the heater might have to wait for a little bit. I have a fab shop working on the mounts now finally

This is why I outfit my truck beyond stock, to go great places!

Telescoping mounts have finally been fabbed, I still need to drill mounting holes and paint them

The truck pulls like a champ. It was fully loaded with gear and pulled a car carrier with my wife’s SUV on it all the way from CA to Idaho and it did great. No issues with the 35’s

I'm really liking these wheels on the tundra, Method 703 17x8.5 +35

How is the clearance between brake caliper and the 17" wheels. Do you have to watch where they put the wheel weights, to ensure enough clearance?

They are great wheels, I just told the tech to be aware and it wasn’t an issue.

Whats the status on the battery upgrade?
I found that the OEM battery size is LN4 which equals to 94R, dealership and corporate still "dont have a group size for the Tundra". :monocle:

Haven’t done it yet working on other projects. Good info about the battery size. My hope is to fit a group 34 in like the X2. Any idea the size difference?

Attached is how big the 94r is, the 34 is smaller, so it should fit, but keep an eye on it being 34R for terminal orientation.

I think the only tricky part would be the height of the battery, might have to get rid of that top brace whos function is unclear because the battery is held from the bottom.
I was looking at 31m or 27f which is a tad smaller

Oh btw Method Bead Grip work! I was on a trail and got a hole which I plugged with a kit right on the truck. I took it to a tire shop to get a patch put in, and as they tried to debead my tire they ripped the sidewall and they had to buy me a brand new tire. Pretty crazy.

Were you able to get the switches to dim with the dash if you change the brightness of the dash?

Really? I’ve hooked mine up and everything works as it should except for the brightness variations when dimming the dash. I’ll attach a picture of how I hooked mine up. The only thing you don’t see in the picture is the red wire from the switch which I tap into the dash lights with which illuminated the back lighting but for some reason is unable to adjust brightness with the dash

My campsite just has a camp table and chairs on the ground. Well plus a little cheap rug so we can take our shoes off by the ladder. Everything else slides back in for a minimalistic foot print

Finished priming, painting, and mounting my telescopic awning mounts. They slide out 4” to allow the iKamper to open to the side. They are each strong enough to hold my body weight. They have a push button release, a safety bolt so they can’t come apart, and set screws to make sure it doesn’t rattle on the trail.

    Epic build!

I have a diamondback too (on 2020 CM) and I like your setup. Just curious, have you come across any racks that allow you to open the diamondback front and back? Looks like if the voodoo brackets were a little wider, could accomplish this. Thanks!

I have not although I think KB Voodoo might have a vertical rack that allows it
