    When I bought my 2000 used, po had fitted it with bedrail caps. He used that super sticky Velcro tape to secure them. I pulled one off to look at it and the tabs are intact. Been that way for 20 years I’ve owned it.

    @Professional Hand Model:
    Few years old now, but I see you popped open bed drains back when; Im planning a re-paint and will have bed removed, so
    Im considering leaving the plugs out, but what your reason for reinstall?
    I know the tiedown cutouts on Toy liners allow a lot of debris in and would hope that leaving plugs out would enable bed below liner to drain and stay dry...hows your bed doing since your plug removal [or cant really tell] ?
    thx for the previous pics in post too.

    You're not gonna get a reply from Heather. He's long gone from this site.

    Probably a zombie thread someone bumped. It happens semi-often.

    You can still catch him on Tundra Solutions. It's a bit more wild-wild west over there.

    oooh, i thot he was truly RIP...as in 6' unda, or ashes...

    so my main question is why did he re-install [bed drain plugs] in the end? Any downside to popping them out and leaving out?

    Naw, he not dead. Mods just got tired of whipping him with the banstick for dabbling, sometimes flagrantly, outside the rules.
