Hood and the filler panel below will be removed and repainted the OEM Thunder grey at a local paint shop that did some paint for my son’s mustang. Will do the roof when I can be without the truck for a few days. Thought about wrapping it, temporary solution that just adds pain later when I need to paint or replace the worn out wrap.

Only room for a single row really, but I don’t want to block any of the airflow to the radiator or condenser.

You bring the stuff, and if we ever meet up, I’ll be happy to wire the lights. Nilight makes some good practically plug and play wiring kits for lights with terminal, relays and rocker switch included. I re-used my light bar wiring for these.

You could always throw some super bright circular pods in this valence.
    upload_2025-1-7_9-34-13.jpg
If I ever score a cheap 00-02 bumper in good shape, I'll buy one of these and put some yellow led pods in it, for the T3.

Yeah I hate those style bull bars. The T3 came with one and it was off that night and at the curb. I used to see em on super duties a lot. I call em pussy bars. :burp:

You're my #1 link in my advice from the megathread's 1st bullet in lighting options, which links to this thread. Just realized I had you linked but failed to tag, so I just edited to tag you over there.

That reminds me. I fully intend to get my shell wiring sorted so it's modular to the bed and shell. That means getting my Nilight strips setup, I got the 2-strip kit, same ones you bought in 3-strip if memory serves.

I wanted to do one LED strip run down either side of the bed/shell. But IIRC I needed to daisy-chain the two strips together, and the width between wasn't conducive to doing that. I'd thought amount mounting the LED strips under the bedrail for ambient downlighting, but I'd need an 'extension' style connector that would span the cab-side bed wall, hidden behind my bedrug. I was going to look into whether Nighlight had an extension like this, I'm assuming they're using a standardized connection. Would be nice if I could make one, to-length, for a more OEM+ install and have some flexible wiring options.

Would suck if I was limited by the ends/leads Nilight gives on this kit.

If we have the same kit and have any additional install parts I’m happy to send them your way. I’ll have to look when I get back home later this week. If I get back home….

Rolling along nicely. Fresh oil and filter change and tire rotation. Rear brake adjustment and driveline lube. So far the only mildly disappointing rehab items have been the less than I hoped for lift from the HD leaf pack and the louder than I wanted exhaust. Likely just the topper and gear keeping it from being level. It sagged without a topper before, might add my extra leaf I swiped from my OE leaf pack. Or I’ll go RAS if the funds are available. Easy fix would be a 1” block, but I don’t want to go that route since I tow the camper and 16’ tandem loaded up occasionally. The exhaust is loud. Sometimes it’s fun to hear. Most of the time, it’s just louder than I wanted. Tone is awesome at idle. It’s not bad when accelerating and cruising if I stay out of it. But cold starts and half throttle or more acceleration is LOUD. Towing my TT is louder than I’d like. Probably swap at some point to something a little milder. Maybe even back to a 50 series Flowmaster like I had for 18 years. Edging closer and closer to the 300k mark…

I love having a electronic cutout on mine. Any time I want quiet I just flip the switch and close the valve and it sounds like a factory exhaust. When I flip the switch back I get the resonator only and it dumps out the side behind the passenger rear door. LINK

Not much action on the ol girl lately. Testing the rear wheel spacers only for a bit. Like the stance better than the tucked look. We’ll see.

Truck smells like cigarette smoke now. Installer must be a 3 pack a day guy. Ugh. Febreeze to the rescue. Shame I can’t roll the windows down to air it out.

Do you guys actually use the recirculate feature often? The only time I hit that button is if there is some smell going on outside.

I’m cheap. And unpredictably busy. And some other excuses. Don’t really know why.

Depends on the time of year. In the middle of the alabama summer, it's hard to get it cool enough. And then for the last two months we've had the worst year of pollen ever. I left my window cracked one day and came back and the whole inside was coated with yellow pollen powder

I use it all the time pretty much, same reason as weagle; it’s so hot here, it needs all the help it can get and fresh air is usually 110 so it’s hard to cool down the truck, it also seems to blow less air on fresh
