I get a weird sound when turning my ignition from the off to the on position without cranking the truck. It sounds like a small screech coming from underneath the passenger side of the dash. It only does it 2 or 3 times and then goes away. I keep trying to figure out what is making this sound but I am baffled.. Anyone have a clue? Or am I just being paranoid?

Honestly, I don't know if it is or not. It just started happening but I have not changed anything on the truck. Seems a little new to be having that problem. But I could be wrong?

Does the AC run through a "start up" sequence on these trucks? (My old GMC did)
Could that be an AC vent moving or blower motor starting?

By vent I mean the under dash workings. Not the vent itself.

That's the sound of all the panties dropping in your neighborhood. You don't even have to start it, they know as soon as the switch is turned.

@RonW man I have the A/C off when it makes that sound but I supposed it could be. I’ll try playing with it and let you know!

@easleycrawler You make a valid point!

Like...law down in the floor and have someone turn the key. It would drive me nuts until I could pin it down.
