Sorry I didn’t answer about camping. That’ll be up to our trail leaders, @sdde4n and @Spvrtan. Last year’s spot was muy supremo, and I’m sure they’ll pick another good place this year. If you know a good spot, or want to weigh in, let ‘em know.

I think all are fans of having facilities within walking distance at The Cove. (The Cove is also close to the road for those wanting to drive out Sat eve or early Sunday to join us.)

Checked the schedule and with the wife and so far nothing that weekend. Put me down for hanging with @sdde4n . I’m not too new to trails and wheeling a bit but with a new Tundra and new suspension I’ll play it safe this trip.

Just you, so far. It’s a long damn way from NorCal. The BAsTRD’s talk about it, but they and SGU are so many trucks they’re their own show. This one’s probably worth your drive IMO, if you come down from Tulare early Friday. I’ll hope to head out there Friday afternoon, maybe get a bit of exploring that evening.

For all those reading this and wondering...

Last year I was in the same spot. Wondering if I was a good enough driver, wondering if my truck was capable (it is), worried about joining a group of people that I don’t know (that seem to be more capable than me) and possibly being in over my head.

Last year this was my first trip with this group. Basically my first time off road with the tundra. My first time in Anza Borrego.

This group slowed down for me, guided me at the slightest sign of need, built my confidence and I can say the friendships and trips to follow this past year were worth it. Heck, this trip alone was worth it.

    Stop wondering and start planning!

You and me both, Mouse. I’m only a year or so into this as well. I’d really like to encourage anyone on the fence to come out at least for the day. We have a beginner’s group for a reason: to encourage those who are new to off-roading and don’t want to feel peer pressured to do anything with their truck that they aren’t comfortable with.

PM me for more info if you’d rather not air out your reservations here.

A little of this and a little of that. Its pretty run of the mill.
Wish I could make it but I have a wedding this weekend. Maybe @osidepunker can lead an advanced fast group for those that don't want to do crawling all weekend.
