Meet the Tundras.com group at 33.284036, -116.369963 at 0730hrs. Run various trails in Ocotillo, random POIs etc. I’m just gonna wing it, I’m not planning rigid routes. We’ll end up at the 4x4 playground at noon to have lunch with the Tundras.com group. Then we’ll head south and make our way to Superstition. Dinner on the trail at Superstition around 5 or 6pm. Then night run bomb along the rr trax.

I assume that while cooking duties are spread out, everyone brings their own plates/utensils etc.

Asking bc For Sunday breakfast I’m planning on some sort of Menudo/barbacoa mix and wanted to make sure our group has bowls to eat out of.

This should help anyone that goes a little late Saturday night!!

 

Yes, we all bring plates and utensils but very few actually bring a bowl. If any.

Yeah, that’s why I posted here. Wanted to give folks the heads up without getting to nagging. personally I’ll just eat it out of a small backpacking pot I bring on my solo trips, but not everyone has the same equipment.

 

Im brining beers, my cot and sleeping bag... thats pretty much it.

 

Good to know. I don't usually bring a bowl, or maybe I do, I dunno. Just what ever is in the camping box.

 

@TwistedTad and myself will be camping at tamarisk Friday night but will be joining the group at the cove Saturday night!

Pretty much. Meal planning for this many sounds daunting. If someone wants to step up and coordinate that, be my guest.

 

If Spartan really is out, we’ll need a firepit too.

Define fire pit? I can get a homemade dryer fire pit? Not sure if that would work...excuse my gf’s leg just for size comparison

 

I love those. They put out a ton of heat so we can have a huge gathering (more people, larger circle). It’ll take a bit of space in your truck bed though. You got room?

meal planning for 6-8 trucks is pretty easy. More than that and potluck style always works. Group meals are more fun. Just keep it to dinners and byo for everything else.

 

I will have short ribs for Sam and his kid, and whoever takes over for Kris - Francis? And plenty of extras cuz I like to feed people...
