I don't think so, at least I don't think I've experienced that happening

So after playing around and copying some of your setups, I’ve got mine halfway set up. Did I miss where there are specific values for this green yellow and red borders on the temperature gauges? Also, has anyone played around with the alarm function? I was considering putting an alarm at the appropriate temperature but I missed if anyone posted some good numbers.

also, still dealing with OBD fusion disconnecting during phone calls. Reached out to tech support. Fast response. They are running some tests. No results yet.

I don't suppose there's any way to get the $14.99 enhanced diagnostics from fusion without giving Google all your personal info, huh? Bad enough that I've had to have a Google account for a few other things, but I have no desire to give them the info they require for Google Pay. I'd gladly pay double or even triple the cost to use some other method of payment, e.g., a credit card.

Didn't you have to pay for the app to even download it?

Hi all, im thinking about getting the veepeaks ble+ but im confused reading through on how to get certain options or PIDS. I recently got a TT and will be traveling from az to or plus my truck is supercharged. Id like to keep an eye on trans temps, altitude so I can see the difference with my afr and boost (already have an afr and boost gauge)
Please take it easy on me lol.
    Thanks for the help

After getting the OBDII adapter, you'll need to download an app to access the data. Most of us are using OBD Fusion. With OBD Fusion you'll need to purchase the enhanced diagnostics package to get the PID's you want for monitoring the transmission temp. The are other apps you can use but I don't have experience with those, I personally use OBD Fusion. If you have specific questions just ask, most here are very helpful in getting people setup.

Yeah id like to know how to get the PIDs I want added.
Why would I need to purchase the enhanced diagnostics?

Are there any major differences between these?

Post 13 shows the user defined pids you'll need to add in the app to monitor trans pan temp and trans temp at the converter. I have the $41 Amazon unit you showed works fine.

    yes
when you are creating a gauge and you go to select the PID for that gauge, the altitude PID is located in the GPS section.

In a dashboard, select Menu > Add Display. Select the style of gauge you like and then select Next at the top right. You'll then be asked to color design of the gauge, pick the one you like and continue by selecting Next at the top right again. Now you can select the PID you wish to display by tapping on the PID field, that'll bring up several categories of PID's you can select from, go to the GPS section, next you'll see things like Altitude, GPS Speed, etc. Select Altitude and select Done at the top right. You can change the title of the gauge if you'd like and depending on the gauge style you selected you might have some other options you can set. Once you've done all that select Done at the top right an you should now see your altitude being shown, you won't need to be connect to your vehicle to see this one and it's pulling this data from your phone. Hope this helps

Are you setting this up on your phone?

I set up a gauge with altitude on my phone to test and it showed up right away and seems to track with what this area altitude is. And I'm not connected to the device in my truck. It should just use the GPS from your phone to get this data.

you should be able to set up your gauges/dashboards without being connected to the adapter/truck, you just won’t be able to verify if they are working correctly until you connect. That’s how I set up all my gauges, I’d set them up when I wasn’t busy at home or whatever and then make sure they were functioning the next time I was in the truck.

I plan to use OBD Fusion for basic monitoring and I need to make a decision on which hardware OBD2 module to use. Looks like Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ and OBDLink MX+ are the best 2 options and I was wondering which one got the most PID's for a Tundra 2021 with a supercharger? Price is not an issue.
