That is what I have been doing and getting so frustrated. Not understanding how some folks are showing what they have and nothing like that on mine. The only thing that looks like it has anything to do with the transmission are the "Status of the Shift SW Status (N,P Range)/OFF or ON" and "Status of the Shift SW Status (N,P Range) Supported/Supp or Unsupp". All the rest search results for "Status of" are for OBD Requirements, O2S, Misfire, MIL, Heater Monitor, Heated Catalyst, Heated Cat, Glow Indicator, Fuel System, EVAP, EGR/VVT, blah blah

I used to have a full set of hair on my head... :frusty:

Not saying this is what you are doing but when I was setting mine up part of my problem was I was scrolling too far down into the list and looking through "Status of the Shift...." instead of just "Shift Status" which is further up the list. Like I said, not saying that's what you're doing but that's what I did at first and something worth noting just in case.

No, I have literally read every single line till my eye have bled. Then I think man it has to be there, so I scroll again as I scroll up reading every single one. There has to be one key word that I am not putting in to search with so that is when I decided to relax and read them all.

When I find it most likely it will be from getting it from another 2018 Platinum owner and I will say DAMN!! Read that a million times and had no idea THAT is what I should be looking for. There are a LOT of new ones in there for the '22-'23's but I seriously do not see anything in regards to the transmission in there except "Status of the Shift SW Status (N,P Range)/OFF or ON" and "Status of the Shift SW Status (N,P Range) Supported/Supp or Unsupp" other than that... nada

Damn, yeah I have no idea what it would be then. Best of luck figuring it out though! If you figure it out before someone posts maybe circle back and update for others later

Yeah I was hoping for some of the others with a 2018 could chime in if they have the gear and lock up working. I am trying to get ready for a trip and was hoping to have this available but does not look like I can keep spending all that time doing one thing. Grrrr

I am looking for someone with a 2018 Platinum that has successfully found the PID for the torque converter lockup? I have no clue what to search for and I have read them all (put them all in a spreadsheet)

I upgraded my tablet to a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, and drilled a hole in the RAM mount to accommodate the camera for a half-ass dash cam. Also, was running Torque Pro, but pulled the $26 trigger and switched to OBD Fusion. So far, liking it better than Torque Pro, especially with the Toyota PID expansion pack. FYI, the folks at OBD Fusion said that they are working on a rollout for Android that will allow dashboard background color to be changed, as well as other new features. Timeframe?...they don't know yet. :(

Well found out I had a problem with the scanning and had to start from scratch. The good news is I have a gauge setup that I just used for over 3,500 miles of driving and loved being able to monitor things. I then found the reader I have did not understand the newer language so upgraded and now have all supported PIDs I was looking for.

Thanks for all the help folks

What reader are you using? I am struggling with OBD Fusion. I bought it for the transmission temperature, and there's not a PID for it, even though I bought the extra add-on for my 2018 Tundra. Maybe I am missing something. Any tips?

I'm using OBDFusion with a Veepeak adapter and I'm able to see the PID for transmission temps

    • GPS Speed: great for seeing how fast you're ACTUALLY going if running different tire sizes than stock (sometimes I'm a cheapo, so for this I prefer it to buying a speed calibrator:rofl:)
    • Gear position, tranny temps, and torque converter lock indicator: for towing
    • Distance to Empty: even though you can see this on the dash info screen, I use my dash info screen to see tire pressures, and don't want to have to switch back and forth from pressures to DTE
    • Power Steering Pressure: can potentially identify steering pressure / rack issues
    • Coolant Temp: for an accurate reading other than the OEM dash needle
    • Battery Voltage: for an accurate reading other than the OEM dash needle, to possibly identify electrical issues
    • Compass and Intake Air Temp: just me rounding out the screen

I have read every post here and the linked threads and still cant find the answer tho it has been talked about.

2017 Sequoia, VeePeak module with OBD Fusion... is there a way to get the actual TPMS readouts for each tire ? It has to be somewhere in the computer since it has to know when the pressure drops low enough to trigger the light..

I don't believe that year has at the feature. Only light trigger. But I don't know for certain.

My point of reference is when someone wanted to add this feature to the dash display to older years. Takes a ton of programming etc

Just an FYI Rey and @bjohnson425, my TrueStart battery had some parasitic draw from my Carista OBDII adapter. Started unplugging after shutting down the truck, no more leeching. YMMV with the Veepak.

I leave mine plugged in, but mine does not sit more than a day. If it sat longer without driving I might consider unplugging it.

In OBD Fusion, what is the torque converter temp listed under? Is it “A/T Oil Temperature 1”?

Torque Converter is A/T Oil Temperature 2 and the Pan is A/T Oil Temperature 1

Hi guys thanks for this amazing thread. I just bought the fusion app for iOS but noticed that there is no Toyota add-on yet for 2022+ Tundras. Has anyone found this or been able to purchase or install? @ToyFan from Banks is trying to find the shiftstatus PID for 3rd gen Tundras. Has anyone found this using OBDII? If so it would be awesome if you could help identify that, many thanks! Personally I’d love to have a gauge displaying the shift status on the dash at all times. Much appreciated

@azTony were you able to find the shift status PID for the 2022 Tundra using Fusion with the Veepeak? Really appreciate the research you’ve been doing with OBDII for our trucks!
