Hey , I have a 2018 SR5 , and was wondering if anyone in Austin Texas area knows how to install the NSV light bar.

I just got the light bar today.

I would appreciate the help and I’m willing to pay anyone with experience to do it for me. I don’t like dealing with electrical modifications but really want that light to work right.
    Thanks,

Too bad you're not in NJ, I did 3 of those lights already.

I'd come to Austin to do yours if it wasn't for the Rona. Honestly, the install wasn't that bad, although the install video makes it look easier that it
really is. Trying to get the turn signal plugged in required me to pull the driver's side headlight out. No way I could get my hand in there. If you decide
to do it, just take your time.

Hey everyone update ! I’ve completed it and the light bar works perfect!!

One BIG BIG BIG issue though.

my nighttime red taillights are not working. Although the brake and blinker light still work.

my front headlight side marker lights are not working. And my left blinker shows it’s hyperflashing on my dash but it’s not even working.

Can I get any help please ? Thanks ahead of time

Headlight Revolution has an install video on YouTube. I would double check your connectors while watching the video. I just wish I was able to put one on my 2020. :(

That’s the video I used. I do have LED blinker bulbs so that’s probably why the left one shows it’s hyperflashing. Honestly I probably blowed some fuses, I’m going to check it out right now.

Did you snip the blue wire?

Yes I did and I shouldn’t have because whenever I put The cut wires together the blinkers work perfectly and don’t hyper flash.

I will solder the wires back together tomorrow.

however my rear tail lights and side marker bulbs and license plate lights still don’t work.

It’s really frustrating buying a 1k light bar and spending four hours of my day to install it perfectly and carefully and this happens.

At least you got it installed. Us 2020 owners can't install one.

The 2020 switch panel is different and NSV hasn't made a new one.

What happens if you didn't? I have the led headlights but I never snip the blue wires, the blinkers work fine on the headlights but not in the light bar; and it doesn't swipe when I unlock the truck? Is that all I'm missing for not sniping the blue wire?

Not sure, I snipped the wire on my 18 and my light bar swipes when I lock and unlock.

@TundraBeast20 - Did putting the wires back fix your issue? I tried to install mine yesterday on my '20 limited and had the exact same issue. I played with connecting it back and the hyperflash went away, but tail lights weren't working...tail lights ended up being the fuse.

It started getting late and then things started going sideways which I think was related to the battery draining from all the testing. I disconnected everything, sent @Headlight Revolution an email and figured I'd try again tomorrow.

Did you move the pin on your OEM turn signal connector?

I had the hyper flash once mine was installed and moving the blinker connector pin back to the middle (rather than the end) fixed my hyper flash, and I never blew any fuses. I have a bit of a strange install though because my light bar was purchased used from a member on here when their truck was totaled and I still have yet to get it to actually work as designed. I’m trying to just get mine to fire up then I’m going to ditch their switches and wire it to my switch pro. I know all my LEDS work because mine will swipe when locking and I’ve seen the DRL work too. Just no full lightbar action.

Interesting, thanks for the info. Seems odd to reverse a recall, even if it was just for dim bulbs. I hope there's another way, but it's the first positive sign I've seen so far, thanks again.

Good luck getting yours working. I may need to look into another switch too; I thought I'd be able to use one of the existing USB ports in the factory panel, but no joy since they're one piece and the wrong size. I had to get the single switch for '20 but don't have any blanks left to put it in...this thing is turning into a pain.

Get the switch panel that @abomb60 sells. As far as the NSV, the only good thing about that bar is the way that it mounts. It's a very low output bar for the price.
