I installed my new light bar this weekend. The video says if you have factory led headlamps with DRL to cut the blue wire on the turn signal plug. I've repinned the plug previously to use the 28w filament instead of the 8w filament. If I cut the blue wire the turn signal is not going to work. Anyone else encountered this. Not sure what cutting that particular wire, since it was technically connected to nothing, on the factory plug accomplishes.

I did not cut it either on my 19 SR5 CrewMax. There has been no loss of functionality that I can tell.

I didn't see any benefit to cutting the wire either, don't know if there's a different install video I should be referring to. The only reason it came up is while driving down the road to the house I drove over a few speed bumps, that I routinely drive over, less than 5 mph and got a beep each time the front wheels passed over the bump.

Hmmm... now that is interesting. :monocle:
I can’t say I know what that might be about. So the beeps started after the NSV light bar install?

It's only for 2018 with leds.. Note: Vehicle Trim Advisory For 2018 Models with LED Headlights. This only applies for 2018 Model Toyota Tundra’s. Follow Steps 1-3

Yes, it what made me question if I had messed something up, I've driven over those speed bumps dozens of times, today was the first time
I got a beep as the front wheels passed over the speed bump, only doing a few mph.

I saw something on 2nd gen with VSC, but thats at speed in corners or turns, not straight at a few mph.

Yes that's what is confusing me, I assumed 18 meant 18+, no specific steps for a 19 and it doesn't work for 20's because of switch panel changes, and the wire they want you to cut would stop power to the turn light.
Either no alteration to harness is required for a 19, which would be a simple note to add to the instructions

Yeah they could of made it a bit less confusing. When I was doing mine I had to double check what it was saying because it was confusing..

I've looked again at the instructions that came with the light and they say DRL & LED 2014-2019 cut the blue wire.

Well I'm ripping the head lamp out and disconnecting light bar, even though the light bar functions normally, I dont appear to have drl or side markers, I've also found wiring the previous owner quick connected and then cut when they traded vehicle in so i have 2 cut grounds and exposed 13.6 volts wire sitting in the drivers side floor panel i have to remove. Once I unhook nsv from headlamp I'll see if marker and drl return. I still wonder if my repinning the turn signal for 28w is throwing off there harness.

You should shoot them and email to confirm that cut wire, they were very good at responding when I purchased mine.

I disconnected the headlamp and steering column connections, still had no led motor, side lights, or drl. Replaced the 10A fuse on the tail light, tail lights are good and everything else works now, suspect I have to repin harness at turn signal

In my experience, Caleb and MJ out at HR, have been very helpful with assistance.

Maybe some pics to see what you are seeing as well?

Repinned the nsv harness to account for the swap of factory wires to get 28w filament on turn signal, everything works, no more tail light fuses popping

I'll have to make a note on the post for swapping filaments, save them the pain if the buy the light bar.

Because I screwed up and forgot I had already fixed my turn signal wiring when I connected the nsv, it did allow the fog lights to be lit, but was blowing tail light fuse and drls weren't working. Once I restored the factory wiring I fixed the nsv turn signal harness for 28w filament, then everything worked, but back to no fog lights and hi beams.
