Install took right at 2 hours including a quick spin and cleanup. Hoping it breaks in a little, because the 8" is just a little too quiet for my tastes. But for a daily driver that wants to stay somewhat civilized it's probably perfect. I'm coming from a Mustang GT with a set of flowmasters on it, so I probably have a skewed perspective. Looking forward to the interstate tomorrow!

Yup, I romped on it on the way to and from work today and it’s already opening up. Cool. Surprised more folks haven’t mentioned this.

I still haven't installed my resonator. I wanted to see how much drone there would be pulling. I pulled my camper probably 120 miles round trip last weekend and had to point out to my wife when it did drone. I wonder if there is a difference in drone effect between double cab and crewmax because mine is not bad at all.

I’ve had my 8in on for a couple weeks now. Tried it without the resonator for a few days, loved the sound but a little drone on the highway. Put on the resonator and a little quieter but no drone. Don’t think the wife even noticed even with a 6hr road trip going 80mph.

My wife finally noticed after a few weeks! LOL
Is all it took was one time for me to forget about starting the truck before she had finished getting in and closing the door. She was buckling my son into the backseat and I fired it up cold - “WHOA!!! What the hell was that!?” She said.
I told her that it probably needed a tune up LMAO.
She hasn’t said anything since and that was a few days ago.
It’s annoying waiting for all the doors to close before starting the truck up - but that’s what I’m doing lol.

    You’re right.
I definitely wasn’t quick-witted on that one. My tune-up response doesn’t buy me time indefinitely :D

Yea, I’m still not using the resonator. I can make drone happen if I want, it’s not the easiest nor very annoying when it happens. 90% of the time there is no drone. When it’s there, I kind of like it lol.
I manual shift most of the time though, which allows me to control the sound.

Cruising speed. What was causing the rattling? Is it the exhaust hitting the frame,?

Sweet thank you for the feedback. I didn’t get one in the group buy but purchased one with the Black Friday coupon. I’ll definitely roll without the resonator for a few weeks or a month to see how it breaks in. Thanks again.

I’m also not installing the resonator. I have the 8” system and at highway cruising speed it sounds stock without it.
