I would save it. There has been many times when I've gotten tired of an exhaust and switched back to stock. I would save it just in case you also need a quick replacement or if you'd need to send it back to Keith for a problem that might arise.

Hiding it from the wife - duh! :D
In all seriousness - I’m debating tossing it

Ha! I'm not worried about hiding it. I was just thinking more about adding to my junk...

Good thought, but I can't imagine there being any type of problem whereby I would have to send the system back. (knock wood). These things are damn near bullet proof and I've never seen/heard about anybody here having any issues with their system.

My wife sat me down an hour ago and said
“I have a good idea, how about I drive the truck from now on, and you drive the Lexus, and then sell my Pathfinder and do whatever you want with the money?”
Me: WTF? You’re not stealing my truck.
Her: Why are you walking away from me?
Me: Because that’s a stupid idea. Just sell your car and buy another Tundra.

She never wanted to drive the truck soo much prior to the 10” dirtydeeds system.

Stock exhaust off, and I cleaned and painted the stock tailpipe black. Just finished the 2nd coat.

I’ll have it installed by tonight, and time permitting I’ll get the resonator in as well. :bananadance:

I did a few but they didn’t do the true sound any justice over video. I’ll shoot one really quick.

I didn’t take a video with stock exhaust. Can I start the truck up with the tail pipe off but mufflers still attached to get a stock video? Or is that a bad idea?

It won’t hurt anything. It probably doesn’t sound the same since it will be echoing under the bed.

Man it sounds awesome. I was worried about getting the 10" over the 12" but it's really not that bad. It sounds like you want it at startup then when you were punching it, it still wasn't too crazy. Mine gets delivered tomorrow!

Does anyone know what BAmuffler would be equivalent in terms of loudness to the TRD? 8"?

I'm thinking the DD 8" may be a bit louder, at least when you're on it. I doubt you can tell at cruise b/c of the low drone of the DD.

But, I'll be able to tell you by tomorrow evening. I'll be around a mutual friend that has a PRO. I just installed my DD 8" last weekend....and I'm loving it btw.

For those of you that cut the resonator in, did you cut it right in the middle, or did you go down a little bit so that all the water would drain out of the resonator into the tailpipe and not get caught up in the resonator?

Does that make sense what I’m asking? Some guy was talking about it on the last page...

I don’t know if it’s necessary at all, but that’s how I’m planning to position it. Just to ensure there’s no lip between the resonator and the hole that could collect water.

@Boosted4runner that 10" sounds bad a**. I had no clue it would sound that good, I was thinking of getting an 8" but that 10" might've changed my mind.

Once the resonator was mocked up iI centered it to the hole on the resonator, if that makes sense. The hole saw hole is bigger than the hole of the resonator.

That makes a lot of sense. Didn’t realize the resonator was smaller than 2” in diameter.

Moments after the install - I was like “holy shit!!!, this is too loud!!” But after driving it a bit, I wouldn’t change a thing!
    VERY happy with 10”!
Deep down, I do wish for a tad more sound, but then my wife, kids, customers - would all complain I think.
If it was up to me and I didn’t have to worry about anyone else’s opinion; I would straight race pipe the truck, gear, and supercharge it. My 4runner hauled serious balls - eventually the Tundra will, it will just take some time lol.

Just like Keiths video - angle it up a tad so water doesn’t collect.
