You could probably put that tip up for sale - think I paid close to $50 for mine.

I got mine done earlier. With 16k miles on it and having been though at least 3 winters(snow), my bolts were rusted pretty good. I used Kroil first, then used my impact to loosen it. Bolts wouldn't budge without going to a breaker bar. If it's breaker bar time though, I'd rather use an impact wrench. I tried the best angle possible(drain pitch) for the resonator also, but will have to double check as I did it with a headlamp on my head and on uneven ground.

I have to get some black paint to paint the rear pipe(rushing to install it), as I already got the black chrome Toyota tip. That thing looks bad ass and obviously factory.

Any reason everyone is painting the tail pipe? I think everyone is saying just to match it, but I’m just trying to think of how much of my tail pipe I actually see.

I just know painting the tail pipe probably adds a couple hours to the job because you gotta sit there and let it dry...

Not painting mine. In fact, I have a chrome tip waiting to go on. I think people painting their pipes are either trying to match their BA bomb tip or have blacked out the rest of the truck.

That makes sense... I have a BA bomb tip, and I’m blacking our my truck. Dang y’all and your peer pressure to paint my tail pipe black!

Just came yesterday... I hope to get to it this weekend. I got a 3 and a 1 year old though, so time isn’t exactly on my side...

Keeping my fingers crossed to get it done today or tomorrow though.

Yeah that was pretty much it for me. Slowing eliminating all the chrome and anything shiny must go  Even if I could only see a small portion of it. Following my instructions (for a change) on the high heat paint can I just sanded it down quickly and applied a couple quick coats just before the football game. Then after the game I installed it. Can said one hour to dry and 3 hours before handling. So football game kept the time for me lol

Nice. I had a Tacoma for 8 years that was pretty much a stormtrooper build. Now that I’m older and getting soft I don’t mind a little chrome, lol!

Lol well my last Tacoma is still sitting in the driveway. All black and detailed in chrome. Just want a different look this time around. I just didn't like the way the chrome looked with the blazing blue paint I guess. :notsure:

Got my exhaust in yesterday and I think I had it installed (except for the resonator) before the FedEx guy left my neighborhood. I haven’t driven it yet, but should be taking it for a two hour round trip today after work. Sounded awesome in the driveway though!!!

Has anyone cut the resonator hole while the tailpipe is on the truck? Curious how easy it is to drill the hole with a good hole saw bit and a hand drill. I can take it off and chuck it up in the drill press but the pipe is thin enough that I’m hoping a good Milwaukee bit and some cutting oil allows me to cut it on the truck.

Nice. I’m thinking I trace the saddle bracket with chalk like in the vid, and position the hole so that the bottom of the resonator pipe isn’t above the bottom of the hole. Otherwise water in the resonator is going to sit in a lip below the bottom of the tailpipe hole I cut.

Quick question, does the BA Bomb Tip make any difference than the stock tip? Or is it just for looks?

    This sounds like solid advice.

Well it's official, I heard my tundra's balls drop when I fired it up. The 10" is exactly the sound I wanted. No noise when cruising on the highway, give it some throttle then it comes ALIVE!! Thanks @dirtydeeds for the BA system and thanks @TuFerLife for putting together such a successful group buy. I'll work on some sound clips since there are not many of a 10" system.

    Awesome!!! I love my 10”!!
And yes - ditto on the thank you’s To TuFerLife and DirtyDeeds!!!

My wife still hasn’t said anything - which is crazy!
But she has now stolen the truck, all Fing weekend long! LOL! Yesterday I changed a belt on her Pathfinder. So this morning I told her to make sure it didn’t make noise. Then I hear the Tundra fire up LOL.
I haven’t popped in the resonator either, I’m fine with amount of drone it produces (5x less than magnaflows on a 3.4 V6 Yota).

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
So what's everyone doing with their stock exhaust once removed? I have absolutely no use for it now and hate to just throw it away??
