As others have said, I think the sound is perfect. You know it's there when you crank up and when you're applying power. At cruising speed/highway, you're pressed to know it's there.

I've not yet put the resonator on...maybe after Turkey Day...

I just purchased the 8" system. This is my concern.... How hard is it to install while laying under the truck versus being able to put the truck on a lift where you can stand up under it?

I installed mine without any height lifts. Super easy with the stock height, more than enough room to work with. Definitely get under there so you can check it out and spray lube on the bolts.

I took about 45 mins. I sprayed my bolts with some Liquid Wrench before I started my oil change which took >1 hr.

Does anyone have the 8" system installed on the 4.6L V8?
I am curious if it will still have the same deep, throaty tone like the 5.7 V8?

I'd spray everything. It won't hurt. Definitely spray the hangers. The exhaust will slide out then on easier. Congrats !!!!! And thanks for organizing this GB

Can I just spray them with wd40?

My truck had 1400 miles and I still sprayed them with wd40. Thank god I did an hour before taking it off because it I had 2 bolts that were tough to get off while on my back that even though I had sprayed them prior.

My truck has about 1,300 miles on her. Did the install last week. Sprayed everything before i start gathering tools. Came out with no issues. Had my two sons help me get the new one on just to make sure i didnt scratch anything lol. Only issue i had with the install.. the gasket came bented to hell.. so i had to fight with that a bit. Took the tailpipe off and painted it flat black to match. Also had to cut my stock chrome tip off to install the sexy BAM tip. The lady helped me get that on so it was a family affair.

Hopefully they will be on board to help with my suspension upgrade next lol

And yup, thanks again for organizing this group buy like Pudge said. You've helped bring many smiles to us Tundra owners every time we turn on our trucks now. You're gonna love the 8'', it sounds freaking awesome.

Yeah wd40 or any good lubricant spray should be ok. Here in new England I use a good rust penetrating spray
