I'm trying to decide whether to run 285/70r17 or 285/75r17. It's about an inch difference in diameter. I know 285/70s would fit no problem but I'm worried they will look to small. There's a bunch of info on these sizes with the Bilsteins but does anybody have personal experience with these sizes on the falcons?

I love the 285/75 size...skinny 35s...kinda...you SHOULD be able to do it but it depends on your wheels; Icons seem to allow the most flexibility with fitment from my research...

I have bronze icon vector 5s on order so I might just give it a shot. I definitely like the look of the 285/75s better.

You might be good to go with very minor massaging of fender liners...you will NOT need a BMC so that is a plus!

I can't find the Falcon tow/haul kit for the Tundra on Teraflex anymore. (Still on Falcon site, but link to Teraflex is not there.) Has anyone heard anything about Tundra availability? Not ready to pull the trigger yet, but like this solution.

    https://teraflex.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Tundra

They are there just listed as out of stock. Probably trying to ply catch up and seeing what material costs are going to look like before moving forward.
We just saw a $200+ price jump.

The non tow haul is listed as in stock however.

I ordered Tow/Hauls from a reseller/installer - Baertrax. Invoice is dated 07/13. They still have not come in. I have plenty of patience about it - I don't have some illusion we're not in the world we're in right now; but still a little anxious to get this major upgrade going.

Thankfully their shocks are far better than their web designs. Their sites (both Falcon and TeraFlex) are quirky and not really the best laid out.

I have mentioned it before but I ordered last November and took about 5 months to get them.
I was close to canceling and ordering the Dobinson IMS setup in January when they were released.
So glad I hung on these Falcons are an absolute treat and perform great at the level I needed.

At least when buying suppressors if you have a good enough friendship with your dealer you get to look at it and take it out and shoot with them while it is in purgatory.
Unlike the suspension that you get to do nothing with.

I have a Silencerco Sparrow in lock up now just waiting my beloved approval. Been 3 months so I am probably about half way there with what we are seeing time wise for the other transfers at the shop.
Then of course FN (really should say Umarex) drops this little fella.
    https://fnamerica.com/502tactical/
Hope to have enough out to the side for that. I think it will make a great pistol host for the Sparrow. Which I don’t have.
Mainly planned on using it in some rifles but that 502 looks like a treat.

Well, I put the Tundra up on a lift to change the oil and I saw there was some grease/oil at the base of my front shocks. Curious, I peaked through the shock mount, and I'm less than pleased with Fat Bob's Garage right now. The front shocks have a grease zerk and they specifically state NOT to pump grease until you see it come out. Apparently the tech working on my truck failed reading comprehension.

I KNEW I should have made them keep it on the lift for inspection. First they missed the carrier bearing spacer, and now it looks like they blew at least one seal on my passenger shock.

Lesson learned: Even well thought of off road shops hire idiots and don't check their work.
@French Avocado Steve, I'd get your truck on a lift and check yours too.

Well that is a bit of a problem.
That grease looks awful dark maybe just the picture but does not appear to be a lick of red to it.
Be interesting to hear what they have to say.

Your lower control arms look pretty rough for being 2 years old.

If I can I'll call them tomorrow. Probably try to get a hold of teraflex as well for a suggested course of action.

My lower control arms are just dirty. I didn't wash it before it went under.

To be clear, the suspension itself is solid, the installer overlooked their duty...I have been over tickled with how these perform and have had zero issues on the suspension itself. Azure, you will get this rectified and resolved and you will again be smiling! Hang in there, work with Bob's and as you're already doing, speak with Teraflex and find the solution...this has surely happened before and the repair should be minor...fingers crossed!

Hope it all goes well. Just talked TeraFlex and they said that this happens sometimes. My guess is most installers don't read before going ham with the grease gun. Anyway, they said the seal is fine to be put back in place with a fine (but not sharp) pick.

Called Fat Bob's and I was very friendly. I told them what I found, what TeraFlex said, and I explained that I don't have the facilities to do the work myself. Set it up so I can go in the 30th (my next day off) and I asked them to inform their techs about the unique situation Falcon shocks. If this happening to me can keep them from doing it in the future then I'm good with it.
