French Avo: I am just starting to think about the spring swap. I have done spring work on sports cars but never a truck. I am thinking of having a shop do it rather than trust a rental tool. Don't want to have a mishap. I do have Coachbuilder CB+1 shackles and still undecided if I will install those. Most likely I will. I am really glad that the shipment is delayed. I just don't have the time right now and it would eat away at me if they were sitting in the garage. I am on the wait list for some SCS wheels, and whenever those become available (in the next 10 years), I will be looking for some tires also.

Thanks. I am converting from 20" because I want the BBS forged wheels - making it a "Platinum Pro". Your suggestions are insightful and helpful. I will not be doing crazy off-road driving but some. Your list left off the strain on the vehicle gear boxes and the need to re-gear if you go big. I am fine with the 275 width but was thinking of going to the 70s instead of the stock 65s just to add an inch to fill the giant wheel wells a little and only slightly tempted by the 285/70s for that same reason.

With a spring rate of 700 #/in that is a LOT of pent up energy and if the tool pops then you might too. 4 Wheel Parts told me $260 to remove two springs which is ridiculously high. I get the impression that they do not want to do work for others. I got a second quote from a small independent shop for $36 per coil for each removal/installation. I can live with $72.

I had 275/70/18 Falken Wildpeak (awesome tire for the most part) that I pulled off my Expedition when I sold it for my Tundra and was going to use those. I had planned to buy an SR5 but a nice Limited popped up.
Should have bought 18” wheels and sold the 20s but I bought 20” tires 275/60/20s essentially the 275/70/18 equivalent. I miss the extra sidewall did not really think I would.

Hey @Black, what did you decide on your CB+1, diff drop, and sway bar relocation? BTW, where did you get the sway relocation?

Do you have to relocate the rear sway bar with the Falcons?

I did the sway bar relocation it was cake.
    Got it on Amazon.
Readylift 67-5008 Sway Bar Drop Bracket https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00IOYV..._glt_fabc_XHAN04E7VYXWT8ZZV3G1?_encoding=UTF8

CB +1s will go on when ever I get a chance.

I spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out how on earth I would get the drivers side nut back on when installing the diff drop.
My time is limited and I did not want to risk not being able to get it back on. So I said screw it.
With this kit the CV angles aren’t bad and I don’t see much of an issue coming from not installing it.
If I loose a CV guess I’ll take the opportunity to upgrade and then will add the diff drop.

Skid plates were the first thing I ordered for this truck back in June (though arrived in September) and really wanted to get them on.

No. But I wanted to be sure I have as much articulation as possible.
So for $40 and a super easy install seemed like a no brainer.

Saw this on the "Pay it forward" thread.

I'd you're in SoCal and need springs for your Falcons you may want to give him a shout.

Those are leafs not coils. Folks get an extra set of coils for the Falcons.

EDIT - I now see there is also a set of coilovers.

That's awesome you got them already. If you can, can you take some shock length measurements from middle of eye to stem middle (approx)? Thanks

Thanks for opening them back up to get the dimensions for me. I’ll use to compare with my 6112’s/5160’s set up. Rears look like they’re longer than 5160s
