Up until now I’ve sat back waiting for the great Toyota quality to show up. First Toyota and I paid dearly for this great truck. Not exactly. The gasket noise and wind noises are driving me crazy as well as intermittent tapping in right window pillar. Been to dealer twice and said nothing to do but wait for Toyota. Other issues once wouldn’t start, few times won’t take the gas from dead start, hesitations from stop, and there are others.
I do like the truck but if some of these aren’t addressed it will be last straw

I think other 22 owners have reported some of the same issues. It’s a first year remodel so toyota definitely has some bugs to work out.

Ya. but are they going to address us the current owners or move forward?
The vehicle dr es great but that gasket noise is right at your head and really can get to you. This is worse than my old Chevy and that stunk

Welcome. Unfortunately the “Great Toyota Quality” reputation you’re seeking was established and earned by prior generations of the tundra to which the new model has nothing in common.

To buy the first year of an all new redesign and have some issues is somewhat expected, but I’ll give it to you there’s something especially bad about this particular roll out no matter what some people say. The internet amplifies issues, but man are there a lot of them. I have experience with other first year Toyotas with no issues.

Hopefully they come up with more concrete solutions to all of the problems you’re experiencing over time. Most things you mentioned are pretty common from what I see in here. People generally seem pretty confident Toyota will make the issues right, but patience is definitely needed. I wouldn’t blame you for looking at other brands at a certain level of frustration.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! First real new redesign in over a decade, built during Covid, are you REALLY that surprised?!? Give Toyota a chance to make it right. If you're not happy, go back to your Chevy. But make sure you get a new one so you can experience that GM quality.

I don’t want to change trucks. I’ m hoping Toyota reputation prevails and they have answers soon. I never in my life would think I could or would spend so much money plus extra 5k dealer squeeze. Toyota Engineering if you are reading these comments let us know you hear us and are working to resolve

It really depends on the dealer you are working with. If you don't get the attention or response that you expect, don't hesitate to find another dealer to work with. The warranty is Toyota-based, not dealer-based.
