    I have 3 young kids (ages 6-11) and have noticed that it's more about the teachers. Some know how to teach math. Others are just as dumb about math as fast food workers. You can't teach something that you fundamentally don't understand. I'm a bit of a math geek, so I end up re-teaching my kids at night. They understand it better when I teach it. I have also sent in notes to various teachers explaining that the homework questions that they sent home had incorrect answer choices. It's bad enough that the teachers can't teach the subject, they use texts and materials that were poorly vetted.

    I DID think about that afterwards

    So I went back this morning on my way out and asked the manager, if that had been the case, I would have apologized. ....nope. Just a new kid.

    Remember being told in school we wouldn't have a calculator on us all the time? Well, maybe teachers no are like "hey, you've got a calculator in your phone!" You're absolutely right, Law. Disheartening. We (not me of course) just voted in a new minimum wage that will gradually become $15/hr for the state of Maine. All of the restaurants and small businesses have already jacked up their pricing to try to survive this abortion. It's unbelievable that professionals won't get a 40% raise like the kid scooping ice cream for the summer.

    Parents are also to blame. There are quite a few parents out there that don't hold their kids responsible for learning. They enable their kids' "stupification". They're also the ones that cannot see the folly in $15/hr hamburger flippers.

    What?????

    I realize not everybody got a few economics classes under their belt, but do they REALLY think that they're gonna keep their jobs?? I would think that's just good old common sense. Wages go up, prices go up, or jobs go down.
    Mickey D's has already started to make the move to payment kiosks

    My first job ever as a 16y/o I worked chick fil a and many times I felt like people would wait for me to punch in their totals and then hand me change. Every time without missing a beat I'd bang out the right amount. I always felt like I was passing a test and making my momma and daddy proud lol. They ALWAYS complain about people not being able to count change. It's embarrassing as a society that adding 1,5,10,25

    I work in a field where many of the people need to take their boots off to count past 12. I am glad when I see they're able to use a calculator.

    wait... what's a conundrum.... :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Does that anything to do with my ear?

    I'd have took the $20 and change and said thanks for the tips hoss! Seriously man, those are the types of kids who's parents thrive for the participation trophy and fight for athletic equality. As shitty as it sounds, those asshats are the future of America. I gave up on the whole, "you can give me just bills back and no change, dipship".
