Thanks, I'll see what they want for the service. I'd prefer an indy because Toyota will say the fluid is fine and doesn't need to be changed, ditto for the brakes which have plenty of pad but are subpar. I'd like someone willing to use Hawk pads or similar. I'd do this all myself but I'm moving and most of my tools are packed or sold. :(

Ended up spending almost $1200 for the 120k and 4x4 service, that’s with the Costco discount. Ouch.

    Checking in from Santa Clara.

Just took another 1900 mile trip with the tundra up to Oregon and Washington. Fun times. Even got to play with some Kangaroos.

Now back at home buying more stuff for MODS.

Welcome all the new comers from Santa Clara.
FYI this is dangerous place for trying to keep that Credit Card in your wallet.

We took a 2WD truck off-roading with us one time and he had to be pulled halfway. There should be plenty of fire roads or just dirt roads that you can have a good time on.

My friends and I love going up to Knoxville OHV park. It's sandwiched between Berryessa and Clear lake. It's a BLM park and there's tons of fun fire roads to rip and drift. plus theres a bunch of campsites. none with and accommodations beyond maybe a fire ring though.

Hey fellas Blake from Roseville/west sac area. Nice to meet y’all.

Thought I’d add… Looking for takeoff Trd pro wheels and a Trd pro/sport mgm hood scoop. Have cash to add for hood trade.

I needed some advice hope y'all can help. On our freeways I'm getting a lot of chips. Thinking of vinyl wrapping the front.

So far my 21 mgm has the Ted floor mats Trd shifter rough country seat covers tinted windows door and center console mats bc the plastic scratches, trd dual exhaust, side steps color match end caps trd pro grille color match mirrors black out emblems, color match door handles and bilstein 6112 at 1.9. I wanted a little more lift found a set of Ted pro shocks off a 21 pro and I also am after the hood scoop. Would you guys add the shims and shackles or buy the fox shocks and go to the wheels and tires vs the getting the hood scoop done. Kinda at a loss with the shims and shackles lifting a bit more,Each corner is a little off, some places we shoot have wash board roads I just want capabilities as otherwise it's a daily family truckster. I don't want too much lift just a bit more with flush stance, I love the tough look of the scoop and a mild lift.

Thank you for any help in building my dream truck. Slightly wishing I would've waited to see the hype from the 2022's but grateful for what I have

Have you looked at adjustable coilovers? Unless you are getting an amazing deal on the TRDPro shocks a set of Kings, Fox, or ADS coilovers might be pretty close to the same price with the benefit of being able to adjust them up higher and fine tune the side to side lift.
The hood scoop is a personal preference thing, I think it's complete trash. Tundras already have one fake hood scoop, do you really want to add another one?

I pretty much agree with Matt. After 70k or so you really need to be thinking about rebuilding/replacing your shocks. With the TRDs you have to send 'em back to Bilstein. I don't think you can expect a quick turn around time. Any of the others mentioned, King, Fox, ADS can be rebuilt locally and save a ton of down time for the truck. Additionally, any of the 3 mentioned are not only adjustable height wise but springs can be swapped and valving can be changed to truly "tune" your ride.
As for the scoop, not my cuppa tea

I am getting a set from a 21 pro with approx 12k miles for 1800 they’re the fox piggyback shocks. One has a slight rub where the sway bar rubbed in front other than that they’re like new I just want a little more aggressive size tire with Oem pro wheels. I don’t want a huge increase in weight of big tires to affect the drive.

Last question are you guys contemplating the 2022 at all? I bought during the none available times dealer markups. My limited has every option a limited could have. Little envious of the lunar rock color.

Are you getting the rears too or just the fronts? If it's just the fronts, you can get something a lot better for $1800. If it's all 4 then it might be worth it if you just want to put them on and not think about it anymore. The TRDPro shocks aren't super special, it's a lesser version of actual Fox shocks that were built to Toyota specs. They sell for a lot used because they are "TRDPro."
    https://downsouthmotorsports.com/i-...ra.html#!model=TUNDRA||make=TOYOTA||year=2018

I'm not ready for a new truck, but I'm interested in the hybrid and the benefits offroad. Once there are long travel kits available and proof that the batteries can handle offroad abuse I'll start thinking about it.

Hmm, can't imagine how that slipped my mind.
Not considering the '22. I'm keeping this truck for my wife to bury me in. At some point I'll likely get an electric truck and keep the '16 as a toy.

My father in law said that very thing to me when he saw me detailing mine. He has a 19 pro. He said” That my wife is going to bury me in it.” I always liked the pro but it wasn’t available in grey leather so I went with limited. Don’t know if it was a bad idea but figured the kids would get stuff all over the black, my wife has a Lexus and her seats are great, had me thinking I should’ve held out for a platinum bc these seats seem a little more stiff but maybe they just need to break in.
And it’s for all 4 shocks, or should I just keep my 6112 on and forget all together? Would they give me night and day better ride? Main goal was to get the pro height to put 285 or 295’s on that aren’t too heavy. The dealership wanted to put a 3 and 1 spacer lift bc everything was back ordered at the time but I had to at least get the 6112. Thought I could make a pro out of my limited with the shocks, wheels, tires. Get the scoop and I’m there
