My wife is gonna kill me, but I might be interested!

Any particular reason you want to go from 295 to 285? These aren't that much different are they?

I dont really want to spend the money to re gear......would it be a big difference in fuel?

Is it necessary to re-gear with 295/70 (or 305/70)?

285/70 are only .6” shorter. I would not think that this would make much difference.

Not necessary. Warren and I are running 305, Joon on is on 295 and we haven't regeared. I ran full 35s on my old truck without regearing.

Thanks. I was looking at going up to 295/70’s but I really liked how the 305’s looked on your’s and Warren’s trucks. Just need to redo suspension and add UAC’s. (May take a little time - wife needs a new car.)

I would only go to 4.88 to gain the little power loss back and for fuel to go back to normal

Only if I knew someone with 4.88 gears to test the difference

Anyone in the bay area have a hood bulge laying around i could borrow? I am going crazy trying to get mine with the NSV light bar to fit correctly. I have tried everything I can think of other than a different bulge. I am located in Livermore. TIA -Mike

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I'm not a hardcore wheeler - if an obstacle looks like it could result in body damage, i'll usually turn around. But I own a little cabin in the central sierra and am off road quite a bit up there to explore, hunt, fish, haul dirtbikes, etc. Tundra is a great multi-purpose tool for that! And the Icon's and 35's help ;)
