Thank you, I am enjoying this very much. The first Damascus blade I made was about 40 years ago when I began blacksmithing. After retiring 3 years ago I was able to get a restart and have really enjoyed this

We have gotten quite the past few days

 

Work's been a bugger the past week for some reason. Looking forward to a few long weekends coming up soon though! Also waiting on a shit-ton of stuff to arrive so I can go hari-kari on the inside of my truck...

 

I decided to work all my monthly OT this week so that I am free...or at least have some time to meet up with @RainMan_PNW to pick up some stuff next week. Plus I have to work Christmas Eve and Christmas night plus the same for New Years. At least the weekend before Christmas is a 4 day weekend.

 

I think I need the find some snow covered roads this weekend.

 

I have plans too...I need some serious head-clearing...

Going to head up I-90 and out to a national park outside of Cle Elum to check on camping sites on Sunday

 

I'll probably just do a drive through the Blues. Maybe check out the Umatilla National Forrest. See if the dogs like the thicker snow. Haven't gotten much here and it was gone within 2 days.

 

That'll be a good time, it sounds like work is really getting their money's worth out of you lately.

We’re heading to Long Beach peninsula for the weekend...getting the dogs out on the beach.

 

We got 4" last night up north, but it's sunny and 40° now. Should make for some real slick roads tonight.

Have you hunted the Wenaha units? I've heard good things.

 

I got drawn 2 years ago for wenaha muzzleloader buck. I couldn't get into range of a few nice mulies. Steep country and it was pretty dry out so I was making too much noise. Lots of good country. Steep portions. But I had a blast even though I was unsuccessful. Beautiful area though.

 

That should be fun! My husky loves the water. Not sure how he'd react to that much water!

For some good news, I heard I'm switching back to my previous group in January. There are some great people where I'm at now, but the culture is all wrong. I get 7 days off for the holiday, so I just need to make it thru Wednesday.

That's a big loop! I so would...but apparently I am hosting my mom and sister for Xmas dinner on Monday. Need to clean my house and child proof some stuff. Niece and nephew like to get into everything lol.

 

Hmm, temps seem to be warming up. Might need to come up with Plan B for Sunday.
