Is it me or is the bug population getting out of control early this year? Need to get more cars on the road to cull the herd.

Work was work. Mowed the lawn. Irrigation was turned on yesterday. Looks decent except for the areas the boys pee all the time(left those areas out to make it look that much nicer). Lol

Yeah, it's still bad here too. I hoped the rain last Saturday would clean the world off, but it just clumped up and got nastier. I rinse the truck now before I leave. My tires look like I've driven through yellow paint.

What's up fellas, new to the forum, first time Tundra owner, been living in the pnw for 6 years after leaving the Corps. For those deemed essential, what kind of hours do your employers have you working? We utilize the Panama shift schedule normally, but since the lock-down we've been on a 3 day on 6 day off.

Welcome! Monday through Friday. Medical. Normal every day for me. Minus the whole social distance thing and staying home the majority of time.

Essential. Work as usual except no OT. Graveyard 4x10’s. Wife is essential with a sweet schedule 3x10’s paid for forty. She will go back to 4x10’s once this is over.

I'm in power generation on rotating shift, 5 week schedule. Minimum manning in place, only working our normal night shifts unless something breaks then we come in on day shift.

Sounds like a cool job man! With this Inslee mandated lock down, have you seen a significant uptick in power demand for the Puget sound region?

Yeah I love it, I work at a hydro plant to boot. Our industry is considered a renewable energy resource so my job isn't going anywhere, unlike the poor coal fellas. Feel bad for them but a lot of those guys are getting jobs with us.
Power output has been about the same for us but most of our power stays on the eastside of the state.
Thanks for your service by the way. I grew up on military bases, awesome memories from all over the states and overseas. Dad was career Air Force.

Welcome to our corner of the forum. I’m non-essential; working normal hours from my basement going on 7 weeks now.

    What’s a Panama schedule?

Thanks for the energy that powers my PS4!

2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. 12 hr shifts -- days 0600 - 1800 / mids 1800 - 0600. In my case we switch every 2 months between days and nights. You end up working only around 15 days out of the month. Posting this from work BTW :pccoffee:

    What industry are you in?
Here's a screenshot of my shift, all 12 hour shifts except my week of 8's. Every 5th week we get off. We have 8 hours of OT built in to the schedule almost every check.
It took a little time to grow on me but I love it now.

Those are some crazy ass schedules. I'm sure most say that before they try it, but dang. Although, having days off mid-week would be awesome in the summer. Do all the fun camping stuff w/o the jackwagons that ruin the weekend trips.

Haha! Yeah far less jackwagons out for sure. What's cool is it only costs us 32 hours of leave to get 2 weeks off.
Some old timers with a lot of leave take their 8's off every rotation, 3 weeks on 2 solid weeks off!

    Happy Friday everyone.

My very astute and social daughter pointed out last night that today is just another day at home. We realized that this stay home crap ruins the value of Friday. Doesn't matter if we have to work/school or not, the general scene doesn't change. No camping, no parties, no fun with friends. Basically, every day is Monday. Ugh, that suuuuuuuuucks.

But I found a new donut shop to visit tomorrow, so we're both happy. I'm sure she'll be waking me up early tomorrow...

You guys have any plans? Weather shows solid rain tomorrow, so I think a bunch of gardening we have planned will be waiting until Sunday.

Ahh, that makes more sense now. I have family in the Methow Valley so my brain is programmed to think of that area when I see those kinds of views. Yours didn’t quite fit the profile...but you are farther south.
